    I bet my nuts it's set correctly. Tuners do that so peanuts can't advance the timing by rotating the cas.

    Depending on what you have available pressurising the cylinder through the spark plug hole will show up a bent valve easily. As would a comp test

    VE or VF is a way better family car. Cheap insurance. Way more rear seat room, better safety, better security. Anywhere can work on them. No trouble getting parts.

    You can do the "clean it all and dust with talcum powder and see where the talcum powder is wet" trick. I would much prefer to pressurise the whole car with smoke. If you do that please post a photo!
