    Exactly. I'm pretty sure the ecu raises the idle when the coolant is heaps hot.

    Does it matter what the sensor is or does? Put it in and see if it fixes it. It's pretty obviously the likely cause. Or what are you planning on doing?

    Aren't xr6 coolers taller, therefore giving more surface area for the incoming charge. Skylines are pretty much limited to 300 mm tall.

    Holding boost has nothing to do with being able to rule out a boost leak , however although bad it shouldnt cause the miss you are experiencing while using a map sensor.

    As in, car was tuned, then you put in a boost controller, and it overbooosted then misfire started. That's kinda bad.

    Its pretty wierd to ask for help, link a thread and then say you didn't do what that thread said, which was the actual installation instructions for what you are installing.
