  1. Yeah nah. That's my take.
  2. Don't pressure wash engine bay at all. Garden hose with spray nozzle is plenty.
  3. Stop doing things idont like!!!!!!!!
  4. Find out what is not happy. Get someone with a proper diagnostic device connect to the car and see what it says.
  5. Your car is f**ked then. That's not normal mate.
  6. Imagine a world where a company sells a leather cleaning product for car interiors, that cleans the leather well but eats away the stitching........
  7. 1 second sounds normal for a stock trans. They suck! Leave it in drive.
  8. How slow is slow? Bit to answer your question yes, the shifts are slow as. It isn't a special gearbox, it's a normal slushbox with some buttons, so the result is lacklustre to say the least. Also 4 speed equals reasonably big rpm drop between gears. What car are you comparing against?
  9. Wow.
  10. If you use Teflon tape it will be tight. What torque spec does the book give?
  11. No extra cable needed.
  12. Undo the bolts on the turbine housing and compressor housing that hold the core in place and rotate it. Then your oil drain will be pressing against the exhaust manifold, so will have to sort that out.
  13. Going in dry sure as he'll is not the correct way It isn't rocket science.teflon thread tape will work no worries.
  14. You got any thread tape on that? Or sealant of any type?
  15. That's not what I am referring to. There is a wire that shouldn't be there on the speaker outputs.
  16. Not sure why you have bridged the outputs like that. The actual little wire in the middle isn't needed, and probably causes issues. Take it out and see what happens.
  17. Photos aren't helpful. Is there a tag in the core? It has an eBay vibe about it
  18. Don't put being different ahead of wasting heaps of money. Barra swaps make sense on Australia as the engines are common and easy to get. In the states you need to pay a premium, so the obvious choice is to use something that is readily available. If you are deviating from readily available there are heaps of other choices that make more sense. Good luck with what ever you decide
  19. pls post skid vids soon.
  20. Cams never touch the pistons. But seriously without knowing anything about lift and duration of regrind how do we guess?
  21. Well that is an option for sure. Ine cylinder burning some oil will mean it is more likely to detonate, and considering that is damage you can see I would be cautious of what you can't see. Oil galleries full of junk, bearing clearances wrong etc. Keeping the bores clean is one of the easiest parts of building an engine.
  22. Did you previously make these?
  23. Keep adding boost until it goes bang, then back off 2psi for safety
