Oil in the head won't lubricate anything really in a pressure loss situation.
Rather than put much thought into an engine protection ecu feature, why not direct that energy into ensuring a stable oil supply?
An accusump would be an option, but if you are serious about 1000hp a decent pump is the only way to go. I would be running an external pump personally.
How safe do you think cutting all engine power in the track will be at full noise?
Is there a chance that could cause a serious crash?
Given the option I'd rather a damaged engine than a smashed car or worse. But i f you use a decent pump what's the worry?
