  3. A service is just fluid and filter changes though. Anyone can do that. Its only when shit goes wrong there's difficulty in getting imports sorted.
  4. Go to exhaust shop. Pay money. Better option is save money and buy a decent car when the time comes.
  5. Replacing it is fixing it properly. Gluing it is plenty good enough. Relax bro.
  6. Its pretty much the same process as timing belt change, without actually changing the belt though.To get to the tensioner you need to pull the balancer off unfortunately. I really don't think you could do it without backing off the belt tension.
  7. I win. Take bely off. Put belt back on with gears in correct spots.. Valves will probably be OK. Can leak down it compression test but I would just hope for the best and fix the cam timing.
  8. Type b cams aren't 256 duration, that's type a. Why are you doing the head gasket? If you pull the head off put some ARP studs in there.
  9. Petite hpr10 is plenty good enough for an atmo engine. Or any oil pretty much. It doesn't mater much at all. Show me an engine from a skyline that's dead due to using a cheap oil? Then I'll show you heaps that are dead from thrashing, shit tune etc. Don't waste money on fancy oil that you don't need . save that money and use it for a better car later.
  10. Dead engine of course. Which means it was a shit engine to start with. I've seen blocks crack in drag cars. Not pumps fail on 1000hp builds. What pump are you planning on using that makes you so worried about it breaking.?
  11. I'm going to say the waste gate in exhaust idea is crap. A decent exhaust will work well and be quiet (enough) all the time.
  12. Stock car goes bang. How much does that cost you? They are old cars dude.
  13. A non neo head will fit. It will bolt straight on. The gasket is the same. Then your car will have crazy low compression and probably oil issues to the head, as I forgot to mention the neo has smaller restrictors in the block as the neo head needs less oil.
  14. Neos don't have forged pistons stock. They also don't have the same lifters as a gtr Yes, they are both solid but certainly not the same.
  15. As you are having trouble, to make it easy just pull off the waste gate line to unlock free power mode. Factory secret.

  17. Yes . There are definitely differences. You need a neo head. Solid lifters. Different cams. Different cas. Smaller combustion chamber. Different vct actuator and method of actuation. No oil drain at the front of the head for vct with neo head. Different coils. Different ports (slightly) probably different valves. Same gaskets and spark plugs . If that helps.
  18. Oil in the head won't lubricate anything really in a pressure loss situation. Rather than put much thought into an engine protection ecu feature, why not direct that energy into ensuring a stable oil supply? An accusump would be an option, but if you are serious about 1000hp a decent pump is the only way to go. I would be running an external pump personally. How safe do you think cutting all engine power in the track will be at full noise? Is there a chance that could cause a serious crash? Given the option I'd rather a damaged engine than a smashed car or worse. But i f you use a decent pump what's the worry?

  21. What do you mean sneaky? I ran a hooker aero chamber and a Berkeley straight through at the rear. Was under the legal vole by a fair bit, no drone and flowed over 300 rwkw. Research exhaust design. Two mufflers the same don't do much more than one. Fit the biggest mufflers you can fit. Look at branch resonators if you have a particular frequency drone you want to cancel. I tried a few combos until I was happy with the result.
