  1. So you want to sell it only if someone wants to buy it.....
  2. I just realized that using this method it would be possible to also add vct to the exhaust cam. Of course it would need an actual exhaust cam and would double the price but surely it would be good. Also would be able to add vct on exhaust to rb25s. The other obvious thing is the requirement for an ecu running a crank trigger. Cmon someone. Do it!
  3. Do you know if one head was early and one late?
  4. Wow. So there are differmves with the heads! As Scott said he has seen, my engine builder has seen it yet people say its no worries, and now you have proven in your case your head is fine...... Very interesting. Good on you for checking as it could have ended badly, now it has let others know that the heads are different somehow!
  5. Hsperfoarmance, Just curious, can you post a pic with the r34 gasket laid over the adaptor. To me it looks like the top bolt hole (the counter sunk one on its own) will mean you won't get a seal onto the IAC correctly, as in the sealing surface has a bolt under it. Is that the case or an optical illusion?
  6. Or pm me if you want one......
  7. And it's great you have found another forum to sell the ecu . as you have noticed no one here would want to touch it.
  8. How have you established for sure the timing hasn't changed? Just a random guess?
  9. You are a legend. And have made me laugh. The pro race gauge must be good, along with a random ecu tune. I'm calling bullshit that you got the car on a Dyno and it ran well, but you know what, I don't care either way. You have made judgments about me based on nothing. My statements in this thread are based on the stuff you have said. Which is funny. I would never trust a " pro race" detonation gauge no matter what, unless of course I installed it and set the sensitivity and frequency. I would never use a random tune. But hey, im not you. I'm glad it worked out for you. Cmon, tell us the results.
  10. Advancing the exhaust can would reduce overlap and improve idle if you want to try that.
  11. I wouldn't touch the cam timing until you can rule out the vct being an issue. I would activate it manually. Disconnect e plug to protect the PFC and put 12v and earth to it with car running and see what happens. Polarity doesn't matter .
  12. You don't need a stock exhaust unless you are just trying to not get any attention at all. I went through regency full inspection in my vl years ago, with a 3inch exhaust with one muffler and a huge amount of steel wool with a baffle no worries, as have mates. Especially for an id check. My motorbike had a loud exhaust quietened with the same method for the id check, turns out they never even started the bike. So long as your car is quiet driving in no worries.
  13. https://www.tomeiusa.com/cam_spec/cam_spec_list-e.html
  14. The tomei can specs can be download. Stock balancer is useless for degreeing in the cams. However the issue is likely the cams being out by a whole tooth so aligning the marks is sufficient. Having said that in my experience the marks dont line up well with a 2530 and are out by almost half a tooth . I checked my cams with a degree wheel and found that. So perhaps you are out the other way than before If the vct pulley has been damaged and stuck on the car would idle shit. What happens if you activate the vct at idle? Does the idle change at all, if not then the vct is stuck on.
  15. How do you know vct activates correctly? How did you remove the vct pulley? I have heard of them being damaged with a rattle gun when not holding the cam. The correct way us to hold the cam with a spanner then remove the gear. GTSBOY means it time to check how the cams are setup. Which to be accurate is done using a dial indicator and degree wheel.
  16. In another thread didn't you say they don't fit though?
  17. I have never marked a belt. You use the dots to line up. Check against those.
  18. Was a motorbike. Pushed in.
  19. Neo cas is different and can't mis locate like previous models.
  20. You need to use a timing light to set the timing once it's running.
  21. To get the car to start the cas should be in the same position as it was. Which you should have marked before removing. Check the cam timing again
  22. Stock stageas can't do skids!
  23. Worth looking into. Although the Id check guys are way less serious than regency.
  24. The might be true for country locations, I doubt it for metro though.
