  1. That's an awesome result! Spend your money people!
  2. Cool! Don't be surprised to see people do what you did and never check timing!
  3. I hope you are going to set the timing correctly with a timing light. ..... It's extremely unlikely you got it exact. The car runing doesn't mean it's correct. Don't risk it. Get it checked
  4. Wow. Stock coils won't limit your boost. Stock ecu and injectors will mess things up followed closely by the gearbox breaking. You would be better off with a stock turbo with stock injectors.
  5. At a stoichiometric idle? Which the video wasn't. ...
  6. Some times loosening up all the crap will be more likely to block oil galleries , so I wouldn't bother in this case. Sounds like it's minimum head off, and to do it properly it's engine out. I would go head off. Poke into restrictors to clear blockage, crank engine to spit out chunks in the oil, repeat. Or tap a thread into stock restrictors to pull them out and crank engine over to get rid of blockage and swarf caused by tapping. Then replace with new restrictors. Assuming the engine is worth saving.
  7. Well I am sceptical of larger than necessary injectors. Being able to control it is one thing, but what about the fuel mixing thoroughly with the incoming air? What ecu is used in the video? I'm sure bit all ecu's would be able to control such low opening times. For sure allow some head room, but be realistic about the flow you really need.
  8. Any updates?
  9. I'll clarify my cheap comment. In relation to everything else spent on the car, a garret turbo isn't crazy expensive. Of course there are cheaper options, but if on a really tight budget be prepared to blow it anyway.
  10. I have some from scotty brand new unused xspurt 1000cc. Never taken out of pack. $550 Modern top feed injectors rule. Great idle and control. I am using 725 cc injectors , obviously never installed the 1000cc ones, but people rave about them. Gone are the dark days!
  11. 2000 cc injectors are way overkill. Let your tuner decide what it needs. They know what they are doing.
  12. Personally I wouldn't use it. Why do you want to? I suppose they are cheap, but in the scheme of things so are gt35s. I've got an xr6 gt3576 with no housing for sale very soon. (Makes some bearing noise when shut down, pretty typical of xr6 turbos, search YouTube and see) for cheap. That and a kando housing would be a budget option that will work.
  13. Price good or bad? Seems reasonable to me. Maybe I'm impatient!
  14. Bargain! Including a bit of red perspex to make the display look good. The O2 sensor loom is long enough to reach the back of the car for temp installs
  15. If you buy it! Says hfs 3 as they are the same unit. Only slight difference, refer to the link. No photo of pump yet as still on car, but it is there!
  16. Only ever used with straight water and hardly used. Was on my daily stagea and barely used for a year. No tank included. 3 or 4 jets, have to check what sizes. These setups reference a map, maf or injector duty cycle to inject , meaning it can be setup and tuned to be very progressive. Can also be setup to be an off or on style setup. The valve allows much greater control of injecting, rather than other styles that vary pump speed. Varying pump speed gives a very narrow use able range of spray. Google or ask me for more info, happy to explain why I bought this. Only selling to return car to stock. No turbo action for me for a while, so I'll move this on. http://www.howertonengineering.net/aquamist-hfs-2-injection-system/ Pics available once I remove it this weekend. $475 Fairview Park SA Ben
  17. Could be cam timing out.
