  1. The pistons op are using are not stock.
  2. Workshop made car good. He stacked it going slow. NOT FUNNY.
  3. The thing that concerns me running a 40 micron filter is that it's quite large. Paper filters filter to way less than that. So while a 40 micron filter seems to be ok, I would rather run a decent paper filter (if they exist) or even two Ryco filters in parallel. The e85 breaking down the glue is a viable theory, so 2 filters from an e85 compatible car will be what I do when I pull my finger out and get onto e85 (and when nistune releases the flex fuel update for my ecu)
  4. S2 stagea is re4r01b (the 4 or 5 relates to amounts of gears)
  5. Could you give the reasoning behind not wanting to use angle torque on a used block? It is my understanding that angle is used to remove the error caused by varying amounts of friction acting on the thread, interfering with the actual clamp load and stretch of the bolt. How does the block being used negatively affect that?
  6. Just a bit of extra info. T3 turbo does not describe the turbo at all.
  7. What injectors?
  8. That's good!
  9. Or use stock airbox. Any reason you can't?
  10. Oil could have got in there from the engine breather return to inlet. 1mm of movement is heaps. But I doubt it's 1mm. People can't judge less then with their fingers typically! Just drive it. Pretend you never saw the oil. But plan on getting a better turbo because the stock one sucks!
  11. Adz, don't you have a torana? That means you have some bogan in you, embrace it and get a v8 commodore.
  12. Why awd? Traction doesn't play a part unless he is going off road! The reality is a small capacity turbo 6 is crap at towing and will use more fuel than a v8 commodore or xr6 turbo.
  13. It didn't make much sense but I think he is considering a Skyline as a tow car? Which is silly.
  14. It's far mor important to have it plumbed back seeing as you have an afm.
  15. Put it anywhere. Close to throttle is maybe better, but look at the efr series turbo, they have an inbuilt bov.
  16. Fair point. The thumbs capability is amazing and shouldn't be underestimated. Sorry about that.
  17. Ok. Don't believe me. I don't care.
  18. The amount of boost does relate to valve springs as the boost pressure is working against the inlet valve, but there's way more to worry about before that. Maybe op is talking about tyre pressure?
  19. Look at what mph you intend to run and what the engine will rev to and work back from there. There are online gearing calculators to help you.
  20. Popped cooler hose. Pressure test to be sure. A vac leak would make the idle lean, not rich.
  21. Based on XKLABA ' s post 411 seems the eay to go.
