  1. Sounds like you have the right attitude. Don't rush! That's why everyone makes dumb and costly decisions. Take the time to read and learn. Keep an eye out for bargains and it will all come together in time.
  2. How experienced are you building engines? First time? Based on the incredibly vague first question that's what I assume. Comp ratio is a compromise relating to many factors. Boost, fuel, cams, head design etc. Certainly not as simple as what's the best. Although 500whp isn't that much so stock comp would do it with that turbo and fuel I imagine.
  3. It's a shame even after being told how to do it you still do it wrong, and are adamant that it's correct. It's wrong. Simple as that. If you don't understand that's cool, get someone who knows what they are doing to do it.
  4. That's a tidy engine bay. Where is the air cleaner - turbo inlet pipework?
  5. It also comes down to whether you trust the seller or not. What was wrong with the turbo harks?
  6. Wow. Just wow.
  7. When you say hooked it properly most people would take that as you hooked it up the proper way, with the catch can venting back to the inlet. Are you sure it's hooked up properly at the moment?
  8. Seems like a nice car. Just chuck the exhaust in and see what happens. You never know, it might be good !
  9. Well it certainly sounds related to the fluid change. Don't bother with the O2 sensor, that won't cause that. Does it just die or stop suddenly? What trans fluid was used and how much?
  10. Well how about some history on the car, the problem and what you have tried so it's not all guessing.
  11. 2 dudes beating it side by side is enough of a shock?
  12. Get a mate to help you beat it off.
  13. I'm fine thanks.
  14. How do they improve the shift? I'm calling that's in your head also.
  15. What pistons? That would be crazy low comp with rb30 turbo pistons.
  16. Stock cam and springs are ok for that power. Have a look at the rb25 dyno results thread to compare results. Depends also on what cams you buy. The Tomei Poncams don't require upgraded springs for example.
  17. Are you talking about the dead race ones that you pack with ice?
  18. Yep. Mount that where? Don't burn the car down.
  19. That makes so little sense it's not funny.
  20. Jacking up would make it worse I think. I would tap it with a rubber mallet. Or undo shock so hub can drop more.
  21. Will not watch. Why is it a saab and not nissan?
  22. That's what I thought Scotty, I do like made up figures though Makes it seem like a fact.
