  1. Tell your tuner you added 6 degrees to your map and see what he says. Maybe seeing as you have taken off your cas due to the reverberation issue initially making you hunt random problems you somehow made a mistake timing the engine correctly.
  2. Internet auto electrical diagnosis is virtually impossible. Isn't the logical thing to try reversing everything you did?
  3. Yes it will all bolt together. Will the ecu run the box nicely? Don't know. Can an engine blow up on low boost? Yes.
  4. If your budget is tight just wait. No point in doing things half arsed to save money for a poor result at the end.
  5. Isn't the point of having an engine built by an engine builder the fact that they figure all that stuff out?
  6. Thanks for the feedback. In 90 percent of cases it is a boost leak. It is so easy to check for it should be checked anytime you touch the pipework. Your suggestion of adjust bov and oil change is far crazier. So is your car actually fixed? Or just idles nicer now?
  7. Interesting that a 50 000 km car has a leaky strut.....
  8. Stock plugs are fine.
  9. I agree. Im m very tempted to get one to port. If it was sa I would have bought it. Of course they are going to cost what the valves alone cost, it's a whole head!
  10. Google power fc faq Tonnes of info to be had.
  11. What do you mean? The stock ecu only uses a narrow band so you can't really have a gauge for that. Aftermarket management can use a wideband 0 to 5V input which wouldn't matter if It's the old or new sensor being used. I imagine the benefit of the new sensor is it is faster.and I've never heard anyone complain that their wideband is too slow (assuming the sensor is in good condition) . You don't t need the negatives quick response the new sensor gives you.
  12. Yes It will bolt in. It's the same engine essentially. You can even bolt in ls engines. Heaps of engines would fit An na trans is totally shit. These threads rule.
  13. What about brakes gearbox diff and legalities? That will blow your budget to bits.
  14. Interesting. Couldn't he hold the valve open and compare when it spools?
  15. You would cut the 3inch pipe off before it merges and extend it alone with wastegate pipe. Merge back together at the bend under the car. Heaps easy.
  16. Got one!
  17. And comments in this thread won't ruin your passion as you fear. Reality will.
  18. As per your link seeing as a well designed split dump is prefered, do you think you will go with my suggestion of modifying your current dump?
  19. How hard? Not hard. But depending on what you consider hard? Have you ever worked on a car before? I assume no because you are asking a simple question. So in this case for you an engine swap will be hard.
  20. I'm not sure if the ecu will drop the boost if it detects pinging but it's a strong possibility. Do you know what pinging sounds like?
  21. And now it will use less engine power s so is a performance mod.
  22. Yep. You are missing brakes, gear box, diff, legally registered etc. It's been said time and time again, including by people that have done it, it is not worth it. Buy a gtt. Also a De neo has smaller head ports and tiny cams, and long with different inlet manifold and plenum. Not just the pistons are different. Buy a gtt.
  23. I'm interested! Looks like it will be an animal.
  24. You have to increase the dwell or they will miss. I have them on my car, with stock dwell they would miss, once dwell is raised, max 5 ms, all good. Edit. Just read you are using stock ecu. So you can't raise the dwell. So that sucks.
  25. Hav you got the guide plates either side of the bottom pulley?
