  1. Well you must have changed something else. Did you remove any pipes when installing it?
  2. So eventually when you manage to log what's happening, and see that the ecu Is jumping cells, due to the afm being affected by the bov return, what are you going to do then? The afm can't be faulty only when lifting off the throttle. The only two options here are shit tune or an issue with the bov return. The tuner is well respected, and it's pretty hard to do a shit tune on a power fc after I'm sure he has done 100s. So that leaves the bov return.
  3. I don't think so. If you are planning on getting the bigger injectors and a tune just do that. An easy way is to pul the plug on an injector with the car running. If it gets worse that injector is probably ok. If it stays the same that injector isn't working. Same with coils, but they tend to not cause issues at idle untill they are totally rooted.
  4. Ok here are more things that can cause a misfire, aside from the coils and plugs Injectors Injector loom Coil pack loom Various plugs (dirty, wet, not plugged in fully) Ecu connection Afm Vacuum leak Boost leak Damaged valve Blown head gasket Low compression Damaged piston Fault cas Incorrect timing Fuel pump Fuel pressure Wrong injectors Etc So as you can see sorting out the injector issue you have noticed is the sensible first step. What ecu do you have? Do you realise you will need and tune for the car to run with those injectors?
  5. Don't get upset. You brought it up that an injector wasn't working correctly. Of course that will cause a misfire. Fix it. Or alternatively waste your time wondering what else could cause a misfire.
  6. Yeah but I'm clearly willing to be scammed. So it means it's mine.
  7. Actually is a bit old . 3000 by Western union ok?
  8. Getting rid of the resistor pack is easy. But to be sure ask your tuner and he will have you sorted in a minute.
  9. Well seeing as you will have to get it tuned why not ask your tuner? And no it won't make all injectors fire at once. That would be a silly thing to do that no one would do.
  10. You need an open (non twin scroll) manifold along with a twin scroll turbo.
  11. Ok. Here goes. What boost was it tuned for and what boost is it running? Has the inlet system been pressure tested recently? Least likely issue is fuel reg.
  12. Are you seriously asking that? Yes. No shit an injector not working correctly will cause a misfire. What do you think it would do?
  13. Crusty coil loom would not be helping.
  14. Fluffy idle is common for any old tech injector larger than stock. Bosch ev14 injectors idle like stock.
  15. Buying a slow car just to be different (which skylines aren't anyway) isn't a good idea. Get a car. Any car. Save for good car later when you can drive it.
  16. Have you driven a vf? You would be hard pressed knowing it's an electric rack. Granted the commodore aren't the best handling things out there, but our Calais wagon is great to drive even with its woefully small rear sway bar.
  17. As are all of yours.
  18. Sort of . More like nothing is going there. ....
  19. Bypass completely.
  20. How will loosening the bov or an oil change help at all?
