  2. That's a weak reason. You havee been asking about getting someone to fab a catch can. Get them to add it to to the inlet pipe.

  8. You obviously have the cash behind you to afford the hasty decisions. If that's what you enjoy keep on going! Certainly a 3.2l would be great to drive! Get it built with a neo head so you get vct and enjoy even more response.
  9. Ok. I misunderstood when you said "mechanic did the timing test" As the 100 percent correct way to check is with a degree wheel and dial indicator . I assumed that's what the mechanic did. Are they adjustable gears?

  11. Cmon. Ethanol uses its mysterious powers to do unimaginable stuff. One is make power. The other is suck water into it.
  12. Yes. They might be worth it. Depending on what you consider worth it You would have to spend time in the dyno to see what the engine wants.
  13. If the crank pulley was off then of course both cams would be off. But surely it's pretty obvious that only one cam could still have been one tooth out. WTF is 80% of a tooth? Why isn't he talking in degrees? Did he even use a degree wheel or just eyeball?
  14. Badgaz, GTSBoy was referring to the air temp sensor, not the coolant temp. It sounds like your wife's car might have a low temp thermostat installed. Which sucks. Alternatively you could look online and fine the resistance at various temps for the coolant temp sensor and test it with a meter. I would do that before pulling out the thermostat.
  15. The 1 bar limit is the apparent safe limit on an rb25. On an rb20 one would assume you could run more boost, as it is shaft speed that destroys the turbine, not boost pressure.

  17. Well. .... Will you be doing it or getting someone to do it for you? I imagine it would work. But your lack of ability to string a coherent post together is concerning. What specifically are you worried about?
  18. Could you have split a vac line somewhere?
  19. Probably dodgy old coil plugs or loom is upset because you disturbed it. Edit. Missed the loom replaced bit. Are you sure what you replaced it with was good? Or could the new loom be old and crusty?
  20. Forget all of the factory boost control lines and solenoids and pull them out Plumb the ebc as per the instructions that come with it. Done. Edit. Beaten with more info! And I forgot to say get rid of atmospheric bov.
  21. I would bin those injectors. Or at the very least get them cleaned and checked. That is if you like your engine.
  22. That's not possible. Though it could possibly run shit no matter the ecu. But not the same type of shit.
