  1. You can't tell me not to hate you... Anyways welcome. Read the forced induction section.section at the top there is a sticky for dyno results Guys make around 400rwkw on totally stock engines so your power goal is no worries. Read. Read. Read!
  2. Neighbour is old and fat. Fail.
  3. Dude. Don't pay a dealer to paint your calipers. That's such a waste of money. And I'm sure they will tell you it costs 100s more once they remove the calipers to rebuild them. Surely you are able to think of something better to spend your cash on?
  4. Just to recap. You come on here asking if the oil overfill is ok. 2 people say it is ok. You somehow decide you should drain it. Seems odd.
  5. I like to call the compressor outlet the elbow, the inlet is the forearm and turbo exhaust outlet the wrist to avoid confusion. But the turbo exhaust inlet has me f**ked anatomically.
  6. Not allowed to post on behalf of others. And I'm not allowed to say that's pretty expensive for a dead engine. Get him to sign up and advertise it himself.
  7. Best post I have seen in a while. Explains so much. So elegantly. But still unsure if it is him?
  8. Leave it. Nothing to worry about. If anything it's good.
  9. What voltage does your dyno run on? (I can't bring myself to call it a rolling road! No one says that in Australia) Would be a shame to bring it here for it to not work.
  10. No. Was tuned before coils.
  11. This has been basically done to death. Stock is fine at that power.
  12. When I did it before adjusting dwell it would miss fire above 15psi
  13. Looks nice. Has it been checked with the inlet manifold and Cam backing plate on?
  14. Ratcheting tap wrenches are heaps handy! Coupled with a spiral tap which doesn't need to be backed off to break the chip makes tapping in tight spaces a dream. -(not a particularly good dream. ..)
  15. For sure alot do run them, and don't get me wrong I'm not driving an undefectable car! It's just that you can do without them if the wheels fit correctly.
  16. Is running spacers really worth it on the road.? With the whole defect and possibly insurance issues it brings why not get correct size wheels?
  17. And just to add to GTSBoy's post.. As he mentioned they are called knock maps, not low octane maps. The ecu has no idea why the engine is knocking (if it even is) so it just switches to the knock maps. The engine will knock for a variety of reasons, obviously low octane is one but it's not like the ecu somehow knows that is the reason.
  18. That's hardly surprising it wouldn't start with huge injectors on an untuned ecu........
  19. Realistically seeing as you haven't got a clue, you won't be fixing it yourself. Take it to someone experienced with gtrs. Give them money. Pick up car in working condition. Boost off into the sunset. Wait for next problem to arise. Repeat.
  20. Goes to confirm the long standing truth that a decent turbo back exhaust system should be the first step.
  21. Hmm Good luck.
  22. Because it changes how the engine breathes.
  23. Don't know . Strange it's gone bad now.
