  1. Were the new lifters you bought genuine? Seems odd that they all didn't behave. Glad it's sorted now.
  2. It's the least likely scenario that the fault is with the ecu, I'm betting it won't fix it.
  3. Is not normal to replace turbo bearings at home. Especially when you don't know what you are doing. Don't do it.
  4. You pressure test to find leaks. If there is a leak in the cooler I would get it welded.
  5. Of course I would agree it could possibly be the afm as I already suggested that.
  6. Doesn't matter. It's a coil. That's why both wires are black.
  7. Clutch fan no worries. There's certainly not a rule of have to go to thermos when changing radiator.
  8. Your question is one of fact, not opinion. You don't need an opinion on whether the rotors are the same size. You need the facts. Something a catalogue can give you. As you crave an opinion...... Don't bother. Save money. Buy decent car.
  9. Checking the hardness of the fuel line won't tell you anything, that's what a fuel pressure gauge is for. Obvious things to do are clean afm and check for boost leaks. Aren't you the guy with the rb20 turbo that glows red all the time, drives hard everywhere and just got car out of impound?
  10. I assume he was doing high speed river crossings
  11. Mistakes do get made with rego. My dad had a motorbike for years then realised that the number plates weren't correct to the papers, two letters were swapped. This seems like an odd situation though.
  12. Sorry man. Too early for me......
  13. 2. Because there is no vct feed.
  14. Cast iron. There's some info on the block..... Any more required?
  15. It's not rocket science. Check to see of the motor is getting power when you push the switch. Work back from there.
  16. Shame to see you are parting it. Good luck with it all.
  17. Check you are getting 12v to the coils.
  18. When I install new hydraulic lifters I soak them and pump them to bleed them in diesel.
  19. Phillips is stock.
  20. Which is a re branded mac valve....
  21. You should always check for leaks after messing with the pipework.
  22. None of the rb26s has vct. Rev it higher because racecard.
