  1. Gizmo have one for 290. I would look at that. A trader on here has then for that price delivered in the four sale section.
  2. It's dead. A temp gauge is pretty cheap for next engine.

  4. Jay car sensor would be no good. You can get eBay exhaust temp gauges cheap.

  6. Well it's a result of the ecu doing something dumb, which it determines by how it is tuned. So yes, it is tune related. I would be cranking some more preload on the actuator. They wouldn't do it while tuning due to the heat around the manifold and turbo scaring them away, but letting it cool on the dyno to try it out would have been cheaper than another tune.
  7. Something else happened when you swapped turbos. That's the only explanation. Have you checked for boost leaks by pressure testing? Just looking at clamps doesn't cut it.
  8. Unless that's a r33 thing, my neo stage a is definitely 15.I should add that is in neutral, I haven't bothered looking at what it does in drive.
  9. Ok. Simple things first. Check timing and vacuum leaks. Simple things first. (Don't use the loop when checking timing use a plug lead between the coil and plug and disconnect the tps) 95% of people that buy ecu talk only confuse themselves with the info. (Fact made up by me, but I am pretty good at making up facts)
  10. Just noticed you already wrote what car is idling at. Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Have you checked the base timing of the car with a timing light?
  11. The ecu adjusts the timing when at idle to maintain a smooth idle, at the correct rev. If the idle is set too high,the ecu will pull timing to get it right, what is your idle at in neutral?
  12. Haha. Mine doesn't misfire. Yeah, maybe his misfiring gtr he just bought is heaps good. Or maybe it is ready to pop. I am betting on the second option....

  17. You always will have some vacuum, how else would the car run? How much do you need your brakes to work at idle? The booster stores vacuum, so even if you somehow had no vacuum at idle your brakes would still work.

  19. Could be anything. But more than likely is the most common cause ever discussed on this forum. Coilpacks. Seriously, they are old,along with everything else in the car. Or your car could be an absolute piece of shit. Hard to say from here.
  20. Hahah. I should have specified I read that the turbo was off something industrial in a previous post by Griffith! That pic certainly confirms it!
