  1. No. But you will need to do something about dwell. (Increase it)
  2. Get a stock bov on there ASAP. But that's probably the least of your concerns of its spraying that much oil
  3. They do come with a bov stock, but for some reason people change them. Take a photo of your engine bay. I guessed auto cos you don't tend to hear the bov with an auto as you don't lift off the throttle on gear shifts. Look into getting a shift kit to liven up the auto, and to make it live longer.
  4. So technically when asking what noise or why does my car idle like shit and stall you should say it's all stock except for the bov
  5. It's definitely the bov. Is the car auto?
  6. It's not compressor surge. Either atmosphere bov or no bov.
  7. Haven't you already started a thread? Anyway, this time you mentioned bov, which I assume is an atmosphere one. Other thread you mentioned 'lumpy cam idle' which can be caused by the bov being partly open at idle and drawing in unmetered air. Regardless, put stock bov back on. Your oil everywhere could be due to turbo seals, or excessive blowby due to piston ring wear. If the oil is in the inlet to the turbo it is blowby, if only in the turbo outlet it's the turbo seal. Valve stem seals don't get oil into the inlet pipework. You could try adding a catch can, but I wouldn't expect a miracle.
  8. It could be anything so no,can't help you out much, but I would say manifold gasket leaking is the least likely scenario, probable just a hose.
  9. Sounds like you have some issues to fix. It's not looking good, that's normally why people get rid of cars, cos they can't figure them out themselves. Good luck with it.
  10. Though it was an odd question! I seriously doubt your chances of that.
  11. Spool would sell spool cranks.......
  12. Shift kit is a must have if you don't want your trans to die. Second gear servo also if you plan in making decent power
  13. Intake bulge as in clearance for vct?
  14. That seems to be the plan if you look at YouTube. Actually in the video he mentioned he wants to keep it it is so good, maybe he will have to keep it.
  15. Yes,built in ignitor. It is likely is the loom, but nothing is garunteed.
  16. There's a thread on here about spacers. What you heard about a jolt moving the engine is wrong, and pretty funny really. The clamp load of the 4 bolts is huge. Your car would be totally rooted if you hit a bump that hard.
  17. Spacers on subframe, drill engine mounts. Why you not want to drill mounts?
  18. That was in reply to John asking about when full boost hits. As it's a stock turbo it would be on full boost quite early, and there is a lot of timing in that area. (And pretty much everywhere)
  19. Coil packs don't go hard. (I suppose eventually they do, they get brittle from the heat but I don't think that's what you mean) They work or not. One working coil pack is no better than another. No way will you tell the difference between them when working, whether the yellow jackets last as long is another story.
  20. Urkel is pretty sure op doesn't know what pinging sounds like. (Which gives him an idea of something to google)
  21. Check brake fluid level, check pad wear.
  22. Checking map is serious business
  23. Stock turbo dude, can see why it pinged to death.
  24. As I said, shit tune. That sucks man.
