  1. Rev it hard. If it blows up it was a shit engine and you didnt want it anyway , unless you do want a shit engine, which would be weird. (But make sense at the same time as this thread is weird)
  2. If you dont have a multi meter, buy one. no service manual, google
  3. Check its resistance againts the specifications (probably in service manual) in water at known temperatures, or check using a consult cable and some software what is being read by the ecu at operating temp.
  4. I will help clear things up. No. They currently don't fit, and nothing sensible or easy can be done to make them fit.
  5. That's good car related advice!
  6. If you really want to know, and also because I assume they are old, get them cleaned and flow tested. I wouldn't use second hand injectors with out flow testing.
  7. To actually catch and seperate the oil from the blowby, rather than let it straight through.
  8. Ive done pretty much that to an rb30 manifold years ago. As it is cast, it needs to be welded correctly or it will crack later (preheat, controlled cooling etc) If you take it to a reputable welder it would be no worries. And not cost much.
  9. Pm's replied. To make things easier, and to clarify, I'm only selling it as I have purchased a 3076. There's nothing wrong with the turbo, the shaft feels exactly like the new turbo I bought. It has a (brand new) 4bolt ext gate housing, meaning you need to run an external waste gate or purchase an internal gate rear housing and sell this housing. It has the 2.75 intake, looks funny in pic as it had the silicon hose on it still. Can be low mounted on stock mabifold easily with a spacer, thats how I had it. I will include shipping in the price to metro areas. Discount for pickup to make it fair!
  10. As per title Has been used for approx 8000ks on a daily car, so hasnt had a hard time. This is the proper 3071 not the smaller ehaust wheel t2 version. The exhaust housing is 4 bolt T3 .63 and brand new. Pics available. Located in sa, will ship. Ben
  11. Yeah, that's alot of trouble to go to to put a small weak box in. I'm sure it was cheaper but will come back to bight yiu.
  12. .. The fan cant spin backwards, unless the engine did! If the fan is on backwards it would move less air, but still the correct direction.
  13. That finning was the intercooler !
  14. Then it's probably not the problem. You should still rewire the pump but dont expect it to fix it.
  15. It would fit, but mv use a firmer shifting kit in the rwd transmissions. Give them a call and find out why and hiw much of a difference it is. This could still be a good option for you.
  16. Why start 2 threads?
  17. Stao was using cams that lost the vct, which explains the drop in response. You will get a benifit using your cams
  18. Its there as a sound deadner. Take it off if you want.
  19. Which is what I said. After you have done the above advice your rb20 plug will look like the rb26 plug. Cant say I didnt try. You just needed it simplified to the absolut max, sorry I couldnt make it that simple for you. Good luck with it all.
  20. Seems ok, but my advice is don't be the guinnea pig. I would go with something proven that wont annoy your tuner.
  21. Are you serious? So the connections on the 26 power fc go to the right spots on the 20 loom. What are you trying to do? What answer do you want?
  22. When you say boost is on 8 do you mean psi? I had a mate trying to set his boost to 10psi years ago but his gauge was in bar, he just ignored the decimal point. Remove boost controller, connect directly so its minimum boost, report back.
