  1. Mine in the stagea always works, half the time! Old cars have issues. Its not the most annoying thing that can happen. One day when I have finished everything else I will oull out the switch and clean it.
  2. Still illegal. and low compression so much fail.
  3. Cool story.
  4. You have to ask how much you are willing to spend to make your skyline more like a Ford Focus. ......
  5. And put the temp probe in a cup of hot water to get a 300rwkw graph, then everyones happy!
  6. I think he's taking about the bolts holding the gearbox to the engine, not the mounts. Cant think why you would want to do that, but I would say a car will work with heaps less bolts than it left the factory with, what that number and what bolts I dont know.
  7. Put big turbos on. ????? Make powah?
  8. see if the ecu has any error codes.
  9. I thought it might have shown up as erratic timing being delivered in the nistune log. Obviously best chioce is using a scope to log it.
  10. I wouldn't consider nistune to be a poverty pack. Most guys that go srandalone ecu still use the stock cas anyway.
  11. Because when you machine them flat the cam tunnels are bent still.
  12. It isn't directly related to the overheating the cam timing being wrong, but it could cause the low results. a I've never seen an entire head gasket blow.
  13. That result is crazy low. Unlikely all cylinders died, could be cam timing related. You have a bit of work to do. You have to realise that when there is no water in the rad the temp gauge doesn't work properly, so you could have got it really really hot.
  14. No way is e85 ok for your car.
  15. That's a shame the trace didn't show it up? was that using nistune to log it? Perhaps the sample rate isn't fast enough, as you know everything is happening extremely fast!
  16. Why not post a photo?
  17. Lol, just think of me next time you spend 50 bucks!
  18. Also great to see a high nistune result.
  19. Glad its all sorted. Now get on with the thrashing!
  20. cas! I win! lol
  21. All (nearly) import cars have the speedo wound back. Fact.
  22. There's a huge oil thread.
  23. sounds like you need to do more than just remove the junk. Blowing air into it, where do you think the blockage will go? The plugs are able to be removed, but not easily. Try tapping them and using a slide hammer (the gallery is already full of shit so drilling and tapping wont matter) However, I would be pulling the whole engine apart or getting another.
  24. Don't worry about it now, it's not like you can change what happened. Shane the mechanic didn't just chuck on some new lines, they cost f all.
