  1. r u seriusly gunna rite ur posts dat bad? It's heaps annoying. Especially when you are asking for help. Do you have a dyno chart? I'm pretty sure guys make heaps of power with stock coils, so I'm wondering how much you have. In reality replacing failed stock coils with what you have is the cheaper option.
  2. They aren't vl coils. They are vs. vl has one coil. People have used them. They won't kill your car, they will work or misfire. I suppose you recently bought the car? Does it run? Why are you worried?

  5. Yes there are better coils. Heaps of options. That doesn't mean he will be able to run more boost though.
  6. paint it black. It will cost less than 10 bucks and take no time. Not worth worrying about.
  7. I'm seriously amazed you didn't just look at your engine or Google for pictures of rb25 engines.
  8. This thread is rb25 but does the plug I am talking about. Apparently it's where the workshop manual says to put a pressure gauge, so I would use that. Assuming its on the 26. http://forums.nicoclub.com/rb25det-oil-pressure-sensor-sender-relocation-t548891.html
  9. The oil pressure sensor thread is 1/8bsp most aftermarket gauges are 1/8npt. They are very close but definitely not the same. You can just get a tee piece of original pressure gauge, on a neo it's on the thing the oil filter screws onto. on an rb30 is on the block just above the oil filter. Rb26 would be similar to one of them.
  10. On neo engines there is a 1/8 bsp plug in the oil gallery feeding the head, pretty much above the oil filter. Not sure if it's there on the rb26.
  11. Have you checked for blown intercooler pipes? Ecu reset won't do anything.
  12. So pump works when you apply power directly to it? I assume you have checked the relay and fuses feeding it. If you are sure the ecu isn't triggering the relay, wouldn't another r31 ecu be the cheap option of fixing it?
  13. Not all advice on the Internet is good
  14. Changing oil and adjusting the hands brake is substantially easier and could have been done by an apprentice. The timing belt/idler/pump is at least 4grs work and has the potential to go to shit, hence the amount they charge. Op, do it yourself. Problem solved.
  15. What results does your tuner have with that ecu?
  16. google "93 r33 rpm ecu pinout" first result pdf had the info. Not hard!
  17. I recall seeing a russian page about someone showing the differences between tye a and b trans. google translate didn't work too well and was confusing, but one thing I think was the solenoids were reversed.
  18. Your r33 box isn't 5 speed. It has a lock up torque converter, which is what makes you think it's shifting to 5th, but it is just the converter not slipping anymore. R34 box into r33 wiuld be a world of pain due to the unknown wiring.
  19. If you decided to do that make sure the bends have a lip or welds on the ends to stop the hose sliding off. No lip means it will slide off, no matter how good your clamp is.
  20. Leaking gasket?
  21. Actually removing the spark plugs is best, as it removes the load on the bearings due to compression. Pretty important on a fresh build, but probably overkill in this instance.
  22. Getting OBD2 to work on a skyline would be virtually impossible and fairly pointless, and I would put money on it that it will not happen. Also, you dont need to see your revs from a safety point of view
  23. Get a bung welded in. Easiest/cheapest/recommended/ most normal option for fitting a wideband. Too close to the manifold they get too hot, some people are ok with them mounted in the factory location, but pretty much every manufacturer I have seen doesn't recommend that location.
  24. When my head was off when I did my 30 bottom end I hacked off those lumps. I would certainly not call it porting. I know enough about porting to know I can't do it! I had previously hacked the lumps off inside the exhaust manifold. No back to back comparison for the "lump hack?" power gain,as i dropped a 30 under it at the same time, but I have noticed I sleep easier not worrying about different size lumps in my exhaust ports
