  1. Why is it better than nistune? nistune keeps everything good about the factory ecu including errir codes etc . and op, rather than ask endless questions google first. Nistune have a site with faqs and prices.
  2. As per title. Brand new never used in packet. Sway bars make a huge difference to handling, and are easily fitted. pick up in Tea tree gully area sa or will organise postage. Any questions pm. $200
  3. I think it would be tune issue. It's hard to set up all of the parameters, and to get it nearly as good as factory is really hard. I am suprise the cold start is good, usually that's the difficult one to get right.
  4. Yep, plenty of info around for you to figure it out for your self. You need to specify a power goal and intended use to be able to choose a turbo.
  5. He said 1700 for pump, collar and fitting. 3 posts up he said the nitto pump is 1375.
  6. Could be as mentioned dodgy wiring or dodgy tune. I would be leaning towards dodgy tune.
  7. No, other than its running sweet and getting used daily. Baby girl was born in september and has been the priority, but have still managed to tinker with the car (brakes, stereo, tidy wiring etc) but nothing major worth reporting. I have bought an Aquamist water injection kit, as Im not 100percent keen on e85 due to availability around me (sa is really lacking e85) Hopefully can get that sorted and tuned in the next few months. Ben
  8. The lifters make no difference to being able to use vct, is the cams that will determine that.
  9. Could be. But could be a vaccuum leak or heaps of other little issues .
  10. You need to give more info, like why you want that and what your power goals are. For example, nistune will do all that except for boost control. Keeping the factory ecu also means you will have everything working as it should, cold start perfect, idle control and not be an instant defect.
  11. Isnt there another thread on who is using what wide band? I'm using a zeitronix zt2. No worries and interfaces with nistune to be able to do all logging in there. Also logs on is own but need to wire more, i only have it wired to a boost sensor, and obviously an 02 sensor, nistube takes care of rest (revs, tps etc). Previously used it on a motorbike and it was perfect. Read out matches dyno gauge. They are heaps cheaper now than when I bought mine
  12. Im not saying you are an idiot, its just that buying a car with problens is a whole lot of pain, especially if you dont know about what you are buying. Did you buy it of your mate? In that case I'm sure he will help you sort it, I thought you bought it off someone else who would just say they will sort it but not actually fix it. Lots of small issues can cause misses. You haven't mentioned what revs the car is idling at when missing. I would be checking the timing and pressure testing the pipework to find any leaks, and replacing spark plugs and inspecting coils/ coil loom.
  13. The ecu is definitely not smart enough to spot a vac leak . op have you paid for this car? It amazes me how people are happy to buy cars woth problems and set a step learning curve for themselves to fix it. Good luck with it.
  14. and they don't crank cos people don't use them when revving high.
  15. Yep. You are mad. lol Simon-s14 has a stock na bottom end with stock shimmed pump with 26 head in a drift car. But he is risking a stock sh rb30 bottom end so like 300bucks max. weigh up the risk and decide
  16. There would be a replay somewhere. Need to check that
  17. Japanes motorsport in adelaide have a glide in their r33. Perhaps yoy could contact them.
  18. If you are worried just put what ever plug you want in there. going to a colder plug won't kill the engine, at worst you will foul a plug.
  19. I would assume he bought it like that.
  20. Check boost controller is plumbed and set correctly would be the first logical suggestion.
  21. Wow. Why haven't you just bought a sh one by now?
  22. Just check with multi meter. Could do it in less time than making this thread!
