  1. No way would you need a52mm rad. How long have you been using the stock One? initial post you wanted a stock one, just get a 42mm one.
  2. A bit unlucky it let go. Good on ya for chucking it together and having a go. To many people spend too long thinking about stuff and not enough time doing it and seeing what happens.
  3. That's heaps of play! Could be your problem.
  4. lol
  5. New oil feed won't help the smoke issue, but will stop your turbo from dieing due to lack of oil!
  6. How much boost in neutral?
  7. Unrelated to smoke issue, but is that a bush turbo? If it is you can't use the original oil feed due to the restrictor in it.
  8. Cmon. What was it?
  9. It's not like anyone really cares though! Also I think in sa the tow car has to weigh more than the load it is towing.
  10. You could ask these questions in other threads of yours. ....
  11. something other than worn tires is causing that.
  12. Two of the same muffler doesn't ever really work well as different designs cancel out certain frequencies so two of the same won't be much quieter at all. I have an aero chamber and a straight through resonator and it is below legal volume.
  13. clean or replace afm.
  14. Surely if you have a e85 walbro pump the fabric strainer would be fine.
  15. Turbo pistons would be ultimate compression fail .
  16. look at the 300kw plus unopened club thread .
  17. and engine hadn't run at all yet? so rings aren't bed in at all, run it and retest later.
  18. You want to use the thinnest gasket possible if you have a non neo head. 1.2 is stock ?
  19. Throttle held open during test? Low result can also be cam timing out of whack.
  20. Good work! Spinning the cas by hand is very usefull as yiu have learnt Noise could be due to incorrect timing. Make sure cas is lined up as it was before. Will need to set timing with a light to make sure.
  21. Cam seals are easy, have to remove pulleys, and can screw a screw in to it to pull it out. The inlet side due to vct you need to remove rocker cover to hold camshaft while undoing the bolt holding the pulley on. due to different design you can get the seal out heaps easy with a hook. Trust me, replace them! seems crazy that it had a new pump and not timing belt.
  22. the exhaust ports have carbon in them, no doubt the engine has been used, as menti9ned by op earlier.Obviously the reason for not posting on behalf of others is to remove confusion, as there's no way nisaan sell used engines. Anyway, get your mate to sign up and post it himself, it's not like it's hard!
  23. cant you remove the pins fron the cas plug in the loom with a scriber or something and swap them? I would try that if not cut the loom and solder it. Glad you are making progress.
