  4. I would guess that cylinder is screwed. cracked ring lands more than likely. Could do a comp and leak down test , but what does he want to achieve, it won't be an easy fix. Does it smoke? Might as well just drive it and plan on an engine swap soon.
  5. It won't act as vent, the exhaust side is suction, the inlet side is vent due to crank rotation.

  9. Sounds like they suck. If they didn't have the correct software they shouldn't have done a half arse tune. I would doubt they would be able to fix it to an acceptable level anyway. like polishing a turd!
  10. Also, pressure test your intercooler system. It's the only way to find leaks. search how to do it.

  13. It is hitting the load limit on the stock ecu. raising the fuel pressure won't fix it and is heaps ghetto . I wouldn't be giving it a hard time unless you want to kill it. You can get the codes by just jumping the terminals in a plug. Google how to see codes r34 or something like that.
  14. Dude, it could be heaps is things wrong. Based on the fact you can't describe the problem properly, taking it to someone who knows what they are doing is a must.

  16. Definitely reasons for and against everything! When mixed 50 50 it is not going to burn if leaked into engine bay. Straight meth is more dangerous, and should be in a proper fuel cell Water is better at detonation suppression. It gets very scientific very quickly!
  17. I always assumed 99% of people mixed their own! Depends if you want to do it by weight or volume, but I don't think you need to get that technical. What you have suggested is fine, and the only downside is that people aren't ripping you off! (could add some food colouring if you really want it to look cool! )
  18. Hmmm. High fuel pressure sounds wrong. How high? How did mechanic check all electronics? That's really hard to do! Or did he just check fault codes and the were none. Clean your aac valve. Get a nistune and get it tuned properly.
  19. You have to get the injector settings in the ecu right. "What is weird is that the car is running without the map sensor pipe plumbed in and a lot better than with it plugged in too!!!" that's because the tune is heaps wrong. Maybe it ran fine the first time you tried because the car was colder and the enrichment was enough to get it to run, then next time you ran it for longer and noticed the issue. Changing the dead time only might allow you to get it to idle, but it won't run or drive nicely by doing that.

  21. Because the vales are already bent.... Good luck with it. Would pay to do a comp test and maybe leak down to check for issues.

  23. Welcome. This should be in the stagea section. No way did the light come in from the starter motor. There is no belt involved. The boiling ps fluid is crazy. my guess is you cooked the engine, what wff the temp gauge saying?
  24. Seems like previous owner has done some weird shit with the wiring. Can you ask him?
