  1. Get a load leveler for the crane. You need a new bit of hose for turbo oil drain due to taller block.
  2. The head sits nearly 40mm higher with the rb30 block under it. You can slot your engine mounts a bit, but the exhaust wull still be a fair bit closer to the floor pan. Usually there isnt much clearance so it will foul if you don't do anything about it. Have a look at how close your exgaust is at the front and see if it could go straight up 30 to 40mm. I made a 45mm thick flange to space it down, which also moved exhaust back a bit due to angle of the flange but that didn't matter.
  3. What's your plan for your exhaust? Most I've seen won't fit with the extra 38mm deck height of the rb30.
  4. Seriously, if you are stuck at what crane to buy be prepared for a hard time with the swap. By all means give it a go, and good luck.
  5. And as you plan on making big power, I wouldn't do it with that engine. Cam wear is a sign of neglect. Might as well thrash it while saving for a full rebuild or throw in a good nic neo.
  6. There are no cam bearings. They run in the head. So it would be a case of head off to repair the damage.
  7. Being an auto I reckon it will drone like a mofo if you did that. Do it and report back.
  8. No way is Internet diagnosis going to be right on this one!
  9. First I've heard about 044s liking to be gravity fed. Doesn't really make sense.
  10. You could use a hobbs pressure switch. You can buy adjustable ones. Unless thats what you meant!
  11. Wait, I spazzed out. We should set the constants so the map isnt accessed at all.
  12. Very interesting. I would assume all Nissan ecus would behave similar, will be checking it out on my stagea ASAP. Just to clarify, when you say delete you mean set all values to zero? Ben
  13. Check the normal stuff first. Atmo bov? get rid of it. search.
  14. Worth more and less expensive? Hmmmmm.
  15. Not sure what grade bolt bunnings sell. The grade should be stamped on the bolt, then you can search that. I would just go to a fastener place and get high tensile bolts.
  16. Coarse pitch. m8x1.25 . when pitch isn't specified its coarse.
  17. m8. I've answered this a few times so it is probably searchable.
  18. As said, definitely the split dump had made the waste gate get stuck open.
  19. Looks very interesting. I'm amazed his cat designed it!
  20. Wow. That's not cool. Also, cant see how that would cause smoke, unless theres more issues. Good luck getting it sorted .
  21. and the new brakes make a huge difference. I should have done it ages ago.
  22. On the rs the front caliper bolts are m12, so you can use most skyline stuff. I wanted the slightly larger 34gtt brakes, which are m14 so machined up new inserts to go into the calipers. Some guys drill out the holes in the struts but I didnt think it would leave enough meat. You will also have to hack the backing plate to gain clearance.
  23. Cmon guys. Don't feed the troll
  24. so just to clarify, before your waste gate was connected car was quiet. So previously it was running a shit load more boost. Why did you connect it? To make it run less boost for any reason?
