  1. running 20psi for only a few months. Have used one on my old vl turbo for years no drama, was making 280 kw. I can't see how a genuine head gasket can be much better than the acl. On the other hand genuine plenum, exhaust, turbo etc gaskets are heaps better than aftermarket.
  2. the neo has approx 10cc smaller chamber. find an online comp calculator and figure it out. At a wild gyes I would say you would get around 9:1 but it definitely seems pointless , can you explain what you plan to achieve with the engine?
  3. from spint auto in sa. was around 50 from memory.
  4. GTSBoy means put a fuel pressure gauge on it and check what it is doing under load. It might be leaning out due to lack of fuel, but likely to be the dodgy tune you are trying to run. There is no point adding fuel to the map just to find out the pump is screwed.
  5. Mine is making 305rwkw on 98 with an acl monotorque gasket, no worries. I cant really see how a nissan gasket would be much better.
  6. I think that might be wacky m35 stagea thing!
  7. Be more specific man! How much boost? Im using an rb30 gasket. Be aware a 25 gasket will only barely seal around a water gallery.
  8. Search something like "replace cas bearings" if you want a quick answer, or alternatively you could wait for someone to spoon feed
  9. Put 26 back in, thrash it. Start building 30 for later on.
  10. I would try bridging the level sensor wires, I think if gauge is ok bridging word would cause it to read full.
  11. The cas plug can be rewired, doesn't need to be changed, if you do what 4dibn1 suggested to run nistune
  12. There is no oxygen in the tank, so no chance of a fire. Science! Anyway, my car exploding is of no concern to me if it goes faster
  13. Definitely before you start modifying your car sort out the running issues.
  14. factory bovs are slightly open at idle due to the manifold vacuum acting on them,(and don't leak under boost) so I would assume some after market bovs could be the same.
  15. 30 bottom End. All the cool kids have one
  16. huh? Heaps of track and drift cars run it.
  17. don't turn this into another oil thread! Look at the sticky in general Maintenance about oil.
  18. well that clears that up! Mine is a rwd model, so it has traction control, which I turn off, so it makes sense you didn't have the tcs off light at all.
  19. Nice one dude, I think I saw that one on Gumtree.
  20. No point. The stock throttle body is fine for plenty of power.
  21. I think that gasket is normal, aside from being broken apart.
  22. Here you go, for reference. mine is an rs, that us the tcs off light in the bottom keft corner.
  23. Here you go, for reference. mine is an rs, that us the tcs off light in the bottom keft corner.
  24. They have rocker stlye switches u use with your thumbs. to make 100 percent sure I would be looking on the box for a number, not sure where to look though.
  25. sorry I left out the r on mine, and was going by memory , so cant remember the rc40 bit but that rings a bell. Perhaps at some stage your car has had a different trans in it. On the dash does it have the spot to display what gear you are in (only lights up when in manual mode, but you should be able to see if it is there or not) Are you in adelaide? If yes just go to mv and let them have a look at it.
