  1. That photo shows nothing connected to the throttle body, is that the case? As in the afm is not doing anything
  2. I would say small, 4 could fit in a box easily.
  3. Just larger diameter rear rims that’s all, like that’s normal.......
  4. When it does pop, turn it down a bit
  5. It will still be slow at 10, 11, 12 psi. Just play it somewhat safe and set to 0
  6. 10psi more than that you just burn heaps of fuel and don't make any more power.
  7. Welcome to the wonderful forum. This has been discussed a billion times and is the simplest thing ever in the world of older turbo cars. get a manual boost tee. There it is. The answer. Then google how to install boost tee. Then put it on.
  8. Here is my tip. Take your time. Don't rush. typically people who rebuild engines have a lot of hands on technical skills, so you can't expect to just pick that up straight away. There is a fair bit of money and time on the line with a rebuild.
  9. What did you measure the bore with?
  10. I vote no. I would be more concerned the trunnion galling when solid, considering the way they are lubricated is "hoping the oil splashing around happens to land there", push rod style! .
  11. Can't hydrolock if spark plugs aren't in. Also no way will your plan fix an engine
  12. For the sake of reliably dont and undo bolts and let the nissan out. many have added turbos without touching the engine. Reducing the comp ratio doesn't increase reliability, spend the money and time on decent ecu and tuning
  13. You don't need to reduce the compression to turbo the engine.
  14. No ecu knows that, there is no feedback so that's not really a valid argument. If one injector is blocked it wil affect arf overall obviously but compensating overall isn't a good result, and will still cause issues. Anyway, op hasn't even specified what is meant by "tune". I suspect it's meant in the literal ecu sense and more in the overall sense when you mod a car?
  15. As a press owner I can say it is an investment into your future. {probably 4 or 5 years, as that's the next time you will use it) but man it is nice when you do!
  16. cranking or not, it gets 12 volts. You can’t measure the outputs with a multi meter, you need an oscilloscope for that
  17. Yeah sorry for not mentioning that , could definitely sway his decision!
  18. 1/8 , smaller would be too hard. There’s enough room
  19. It is diminishing gains (especially value for money wise) when going further than just a cam / spring job. As kinkstaah said area under the curve is still important, and going to a larger can will hurt economy also
  20. LSV out of those choices. THe LS1 doesnt need / beneift from such a large exhaust duration split. choppy idle can be tuned to suit. glad you have seen the light regarding conveters!
  21. that is a huge benefit and can save an engine making it cheap insurance. Proper knock monitoring, fuel and oil pressure and wideband and you are pretty safe.
  22. hmmmmmmm.. Need more info man. there are many reasons an engine can smoke, with different causes. But realistically you should be directing your questions and concerns should be directed to the builder.
