  1. There's another key for the gear
  2. I will call you spam Jan if that's ok Good classic car is a vf commodore
  3. You are looking for stability control , not traction control, in those situations
  4. What gauge are you using?
  5. It’s not a question
  6. Can’t say for sure, but I’m pretty sure the operation of them is different, considering the solenoid is different and the non neo need the extra drain for oil return, I can’t see them being able to be swapped.
  7. If the spark plugs are out there is no resistance to build up. It definetily seems from here you have likely bent valves. Hope not but that would be a long shot
  8. I would do a leak down test, or just put compressed air in and listen if it is leaking out the valves, no mirrors.
  9. You won't hear a noise and in the case of a mis-timed engine turning over the contact is not normally large enough to leave a large mark or damage, but is enough to bend valves How do you explain the extra resistance when turning over at some points? With plugs out it is the same to spin an engine over, no Change in resistance
  10. Oh. That resistance was the valves hitting the pistons.
  11. I hope the spark plugs were out during this otherwise that extra resistance was valves and pistons hitting
  12. I would be way happier with a ding in a piston than having just one replaced. Deburr it of course. It won't cause a hot spot, pistons already have notches for the valves, so a bit bigger isn't a deal breaker
  13. What do you mean? Replace the piston? In what way is it damaged.? I'm assuming it hit the valve, but does it have chunks stuck in it or cracks.?
  14. Are you going to show us how to fit a different headlight into an r34? Whole assembly or just internals? I want to make sure my expectations are set correctly
  15. Write an angry letter to Nissan, tell them you will take your business of buying run down second hand cars elsewhere. That will teach em.
  16. Fully forged as in pistons and rods.? Or fully as in crank, block, inlet manifold and everything else to meet the "fully" description?
  17. The water isn't critical to use. I would suggest driving it as is, then removing turbo for something more suitable once realising how laggy the car is.
  18. Yeo, it's a lemon, tell you what i will take or off your hands. ?
  19. Ring Ppg? Seeing as they are in adelaide you would think they could arrange something to swoon you away from your wad of cash so they can grab it.
  20. As above. sounds like you are really keen to rebuild this motor!
  21. Engine is old and worn
  22. Ignore results continue to drive
  23. I wouldn't say they are prone to snapping. They are prone to guys overtorquiing them when changing timing belts then they snap. It's not like a Design flaw or anything
