Nice, are you stalling it up or just mashing the pedal? Often people stall it up and it hinders more than helps. Just mash it and see what happens. -
At least with a billet block if the car gets stolen it will seize up down the road.

Mate if importing a gtr made any sense everyone would be doing it.

Why are you so worried about heat man? It's not like they burst into flames. It is like 20yrs old and hasn't burnt down yet. -
Rb's will definitely start with maf unplugged. Something else is wrong.
-
That's not related to the afm. What else did they do?
-
Anyway I looked it up and it is optional to have the brake pedal as part of dbw safety with Haltech, and it doesnt relate to a failsafe function really anyway compared to having to have a primary and secondary position sensor on both Pedal and throttle. Brake Pedal Check Enable if a Brake Pedal Switch has been wired and configured. Enabling this function will enable the Max Brake TPS Setting. This setting will override all other commanded throttle values. From https://support.haltech.com/portal/en/kb/articles/drive-by-wire-elite can't see why anyone would actually do it.
-
Interesting. Link ecus definitely dont do that, nor do motec from my experience. it deosnt make sense, because all that matters is the pedal and the throttle relationship. If the pedal is lifted and the throttle is still open it should go to safety conditions straight away, regardless if you push the brake or not. Can't see how it helps at all. Also I am assuming you mean a mismatch between the pedal and throttle and foot on the brake makes it go into safety mode, otherwise you wouldn't be able to do burnouts and that would be dumb!

Good plan mate. And top observation that the other fat truck drivers are fat.
-
Did you time travel?
-
That's a different story. In relation to aftermarket ecus with dbw I have never seen them need a brake pedal input as part of the safety system.
-
Don't waste a button on stop cruise control. You will never push it, just tap the brakes . Make it increase cruise speed. Also why have an Enable/ Disable button? Just leave it always enabled. So now you can have an increase cruise speed and a decrease cruise speed.

Haltech ecu wont use the afm.

If you answer yes to both questions pull engine out and rebuild it Does it smoke or rattle? Do you want to rebuild it? Otherwise leave it alone. Thrash it. If it breaks it was shit and you didn't want it. Simple stuff mate. Don't overthink it. -
