    I would be surprised if timing belt tension could do it. Wrong cap, or no lube would do it.

    It's a cap, because someone has blocked off your heater setup. Either replace all of the caps, because they look crap, or put the hoses back to make the heater operational Why does your car normally idle so crazy high?
