Yeh with the atmo blow off valve if you have the correct atmo then you should be sweet. A freind of mine has a GFB stealth BOV specially designed for r33 skylines and with blow off valve itself can be tuned to allow enough air to go back into the engine while still being able to release some air into the atmosphere for the sound. You can also just buy a gfb hybrid and also turbosmart has the dual port. they are more expensive but it saves you from having to purchase a SAFC or Power fc to control air flow.

hey ive got a bone stock series 2 R33. When I give it the boost does not reach the 7 its hits the middle line before the 7. Do you need to have few mods for the car to start hitting the 7 or should my car already be hitting the 7 marker??

R33, R34 CAI box & radiator panel
R33_Series2Lover replied to Maxx's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi there im interested in one of these CAI Boxes. I dont have an intercooler too improve cooling. With this Box and a Pod has anybody noticed any increase in heat or is it the same as having the stocky box but with cool induction noise. At the moment my car is stocky but all im going to get is a turbo back exhaust and I want the cool sound without going the BOV because of problems associated with them. -
Hey all ive been looking for parts to make my turbo back exhaust. Ive decided on the cat and im going to buy a split dump/front pipe. But find a decent cat back is proving difficult. I have heard a few skylines and some have nice sounding low deep but not loud others are really loud and would be a pain after driving the car for a while. Any advice how to get a good sounding cat back without having to have that ugly silencer in the muffler thanks. Oh and before I go for example i was looking at a fully reconditioned hks super drager cat back are they any good?? what other brands are good??

does the boost make the ecu go all funny??
-
This brings a question up what mods are ideal for the stock ECU before it goes all funny.

Cant Enjoy A Decent Cruise Anymore

Yeh true point takin scathing.I dont take much notice of it until I get the 5th person in the space of a 20 minutes drive being a complete tool. At the end of it some annoyance kicks in. The other night I had a complete nutter in a honda accord right up my ass, id would change lanes he would too. I would take off and leave him behind great a red light same thing up my ass again. -
Clutch Question
R33_Series2Lover replied to R33_Series2Lover's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeh exactly, with my mates the clutch is either in or out there is no middle ground. Personally ive never experienced clutch slippage what are the signs this is happening?? -
hey im in the middle of buying parts to modify my currenly stock series 2 R33, and the I remembered hey my standard clutch may not handle it. I want a clutch that will handle abit of a power upgrade without stuffing up my drivability. Basically im after a clutch that feels like the stocky but will handle more grunt. The mods im planning are pretty minor they include - SAFC II, Full turbo back exhaust,FMIC and BOV plus a full tune. (will not be increasing boost) Not to sure how the current clutch is so firstly would the standard clutch handle this power because I could always just get a new factory clutch. If not what is like the next step up without encoutering drivability issues like my mate with a worked GTI-R with a brass button clutch and the car jerks at every traffic light.

Uh huh!! Ok then cool Thanks guys damn that was a quick response

What To Do With An 1996 R33 Gts?
R33_Series2Lover replied to omy26c's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeh I agree with this statement -
What the hell is bosch lambda?? Aww man i was going to buy a split dump and now more issues when choosing which to buy for my stocky R33. Its making it difficult.
-
Oh on the other hand though when its comes other things though like internal mods piston, cam and even non internal parts like a front mount intercooler than yes SpecR is right and go for a well known brand, but for the dump I reckon either of the two will give you good results. just my opinion as you requested everyone has a different one.

Cant Enjoy A Decent Cruise Anymore
R33_Series2Lover replied to R33_Series2Lover's topic in General Automotive Discussion
True to the last 2 replies. I would love to go for a cruise to the blue mountains thats alright not as bad a cruise to the hunter which is stone chip kingdom -
SpecR in someways has a point if you want reassurance then purchase the more expensive CES item. Mostly branding and marketing makes one item more expensive than the other. Many people prefer to pay more to be reassured. . At the end of the day its what makes you happy and your personal preference. which ever dump you chose will give you healthy gains and you will do it the right way once. But hey it depends on budget and personal preference at the end of the day. I know a few people who have the BOS item and are extremely happy.
