Rhys - just drove onto it and waited for security to catch me and pleaded with then to let me stay as they were trying to catch any other hoons thinking they could get on and have some fun on fresh roads!!
  9. The new Perth-bunbury extension??????? at least its a leisurely drive..or will be. but for a real drive there's a road near bridgetown heading west towards another town that goes every which way. lots of bike clubs go along it. did it early last year in my old bunky wishing i took the coupe instead!
  10. went out for some night stalking on the new Perth-Bunbury bypass before it opens on sunday (security let me play!) and created it to look like an Ad for my flickr monthly project.
  11. wonder if he still wants a V8 after loosing it in a 32???!!!
  12. oops, my bad. it's not a series, just a movie. and no other cars appear in the rest of the movie..oh well...that first part is still pretty funny seeing a 32 flip!!
  13. just saw a new series on the world movies channel on foxtel. set in japan in a delinquent high school looks good and in the first ep the cop car is a R32 4dr!!!!! can be torrented but check the trailer first! gotta love action tv
  14. i had a stock one and it had more torque than a RB20!!! but with its tiny turbo it dont get far (16.4 1/4m) sold it for $500 and now its back up for sale over here.

  18. rottie cross ridgeback!!! she's quite big (55kg) but really gentle. learned a bit from the old cat and now thinks shes human/cat!!
  19. sid - its a Pentax-A SMC f2, rugged ol thing but..mmmmm!! oh and the dog is watching the TV in that shot
  20. i like the 2nd one, looks great! speaking of dogs, playing with a friends 50mm 1.4 AF pentax lens to compare it with my old manual... looks pretty good. but i still think the old one has more sharpness to it
  21. Ok...now for the rest.. clamp on spring compressors and tighten till the top insulator moves enough that the coil has no real pressure pushing against it. *spring compressors not in the right place yet!* *Before you pull apart look at the way the bottom saddle sits in relation to the bottom shock mount. As i soon found out, when i tried to re-fit i found the i couldn't move the shock mount around to line up with swing arm mount with out moving the coil away from the notch in the saddle. which means i had to pull it all apart and re-position the bottom saddle in line with the top insulator bolts to line up in the car!!!! now undo top retaining bolt (14mm) and pull off, once you've done this the coil can slip over the bump rubber and dust cover. next use a rubber mallet and whack the bottom spring saddle off the shock. Viola!!! While these are apart clean coil and bottom saddle and repaint with your choice of colour (all i had was flat black enamel) You should get some new rubbers with the shock kit, once you pull it apart you will see the 2 rubbers on top and under the insulator. see the difference in thickness. after 20yrs they tend to flatten out quite a bit!! now put it all back together remembering to check where the top bolts and the bottom shock mount are so you dont have to move the coil around on its saddle! check with the old unit to see its all in the right way and repeat on 2nd unit. you can see here that the shock on the left has no compression at all compared to the right one, hence wheel hopping at certain speeds (mine was 90-100kph). plus dont they look purdy!!! Now,you'll need a spare set of hands here as you cant put the unit back in AND put the top nuts on!!! once back in and all tightened up you can clean other areas around here like the diff cover and CV joints (all help to make it clean for future inspections of any leaks) clean and sweet, just the way rego likes it! (its not that silver under there, the flash just makes it all shiny as!) i may add more as i need to do the swaybar rubbers yet. we'll see
  22. Also check the bottom of the front guards as the drain holes tend to clog up with dirt/leaves and rot the bottom of the panels (also in R30's!) hope you get what you want
  23. that is DAMN sweet!!!!! congrats man
