Just have to do this and thought i'd post it as i do it to show anyone else what they need to do (as i also have the workshop manual). (Also posted on R31skyline forums) First - take rear parcel shelf out!! which means taking seats out..not hard really and you could find money!!! (i found $20 in coins) This is so you can get at the bolts for the top of the tower! Second - chock front wheels and jack car up. (dont do a dodgy!) USE Chassis stands!!!!! Third - You can do this either way, but i undid the bottom bolt first and levered it off the subframe, then the whole wheel will fall down onto ground (depending how stuffed your rubbers are!) Fourth - Undo top bolts (3) and do rear bolt last as it will fall away (and go bang on the ground!) would help if you have someone else to grab it, if so you may want to do this in reverse and finish with bottom bolt! I will be cleaning these up so it looks like it has been worked on (for rego or roadside inspections!!) These are the new shocks. (only pair i could find!!!) $184!!!! also got new rubbers for front swaybar, as they were easier to get! will continue when done!

Another month for your photos to post to. How about being creative this month, weather you use PS or in camera or on site (like mine in last months thread) get the brain working and try something else that you may only have thought about doing. Night long exposure, grungy street scenes, Architecture etc. go on............you know you want to here's one to kick it off.. i usually only do cars, but was invited to help with some shots of the WA state motoX champion with a friend who also does photography and works with him... ok, off you go!!!

Hahaha.... just a long exposure guys (bout 5 mins?) with light green and red gels for the effects (on hand held flash) Mark - it would be better in the city i think, but it was late and this place was just around the corner so easy to do... .and i wanted to see it work before trying it somewhere else later as it does attract a bit of attention not to mention the size makes it harder to just jump a curb and plant it on some grass not to mention all the extra lights make it harder to do a longer exposure. Iso 100 Exposure: 278.5sec Aperture: f/3.5 Focal Length: 18 mm just to show what the gels look like on a LED torch while running around the streets for around 2 mins.....

Looks great. a mate had similar setup. eels, sharks etc. looked good with alternating coloured lights!! now on topic, i did these last month but didnt want to put them at the end of the monthly thread...so.... and of course had to do a long exposure of me car ....(looks better large of course) Also got an old 50mm manual lens off e-blah.....

Taken over the long weekend north of Perth... night time long exposure (5mins), full moon too! Also went to a machinery museum down sth-ish.... Also at easter i found a Salt lake!!!

but there not 240K's!!!.....i wouldn't mind one too, seen one local but was rusty as..good for parts only!

got a cruise every weekend for the next month!!! chrysler show this sunday....big Al's next sunday..nostalgia drags following sunday..(may not enter, but will attend) Cranksters cruise after that (after the long weekend). then the Alcoa cruise sometime after that!!!!!

1970 Dodge Phoenix pillarless sedan, 383 bigblock (6.25lt) satin black, removed rear door handles, door and boot locks custom hand painted pinstripes on bonnet and boot (Von Kustard) 15"chrome amrican racing(??)rims(old) auto (727) column shift, slightly lowered front (torsion bar) respray done in 2 1/2weeks with 4lts of enamel..total cost of respray (not inc pinstrips) $300 looks crap on close inspection but it was a quick one for shows this weekend and next... as i tell everyone, its for cruisin, not showin

sorry i haven't been around for a while...needed a break from net and skylines... so i went and bought this..... then spent xmas sanding back for new coat.... plus deleting rear handles and all locks and rust etc..... then paint and some pinstripes and VOILA!!! still needs some bits etc, clean out the engine bay and whack in some doof but it'll do for a while! so the poor 31 will have to take a backseat for a while
