  1. yeah, acceleration while cruising is what got me and a friend in shit. got a court summons and charged with street racing and dangerous driving. i went over the speed limit by a bit and all of a sudden the cops are trying to ping me for 120 in a 70 zone, with no radar. ha! this law will turn ugly as cops in vic are already bad enough.
  2. hey man, i'm going to be in the same boat, as i'm getting a r32 gtr with a r33 n1 spec motor in it, along with a list of mods... but the car has got stock gtr wheels on it and the cooler is black, no roll cage, pods are covered, not sure bout zorst yet. The roll cage might not attract as much attention as you think. My friend drives a bright red integra type r with 19" wheels, lotsa stickers, loud exhaust, has a red roll cage with red padding wrapped around it. He drives to chapel st, st kilda, etc, quite regularly and never gets bothered about the roll cage. Of course, he gets hassled because of the height of the car and the wheels, but never any questions about the cage. I drove my red R34 GTT for 6 months with a zorst & pod on it, and never got pulled over once. I know it's a different car compared to a 32, but still, cops never hassled me in it at all Just my .2 -Shaun

  8. hmm, that sounds interesting... mainly because i am purchasing this car from J-Spec... so it must be the same one then. Is there a way to view deleted threads or something? I'm a bit curious now, especially since J-Spec were unable to get in contact with the seller to see if it was still available **confused** Regards, Shaun

  11. hello all. i am about to import a R32 GTR with a R33 GTR N1 spec engine in it. Now, from what i've seen, the import sheet says the engine is 400 ps claimed. Now this works about to be about 295 kw's according to a converter i have found. Anyone know for sure?? Anways, i need some1 to tell me what the difference between an N1 engine is to a standard one? I've searched google but am struggling to find any specs. Links would be good if anyone has found any. Cheers in advance guys, Regards, Shaun

  14. Hey guys, Just wondering approx how much the above would be? Saying all is in perfect working order and the engine has done about 100,000k's. Oh and interior... not a mark or tear on it, all perfect. Anybody? Shaun

  16. the hi flow is what i'm going for - nice response low down and power output will be about 250 is rwkw - which is enough to keep me happy on the street
  17. 1 - no smoking 2 - no obscenities to passers by ESPECIALLY if we're coming up to a red light! my car will cop a bottle, not u... 3 - obviously no stereo control unless i advise so 4 - definately no touching of climate control. 5 - farting is only allowed if i have had pre-warning and can prepare with all windows down. 6 - dirty shoes = hold em or clean em... or ur walkin 7 - drinking is acceptable, but not between gear changes. 8 - shotgun rules always apply. that is it i believe

  20. it does happen intermittently, that's why i'm so confused. If it were happening every time, then i would have to blame the ECU. But it happens every now & again, but it's more often now than before (probably cos i'm booting it more, and trying to figure out what it is!). And yes, it's a stock ECU, unless the person who had it before me had played around with it - but i doubt it cos it was 100% stock when i got it. Regards, Shaun
  21. see the thing is, the only mods my car has is the exhaust and a HKS are filter - i havn't touched the boost! i wouldn't have thought running it stock would have a problem with the ECU, so wtf! JAPCAB - pop as in like the pop on de-acceleration? if so, then it's not that. my car does pop when gearing down, and when it's real cold, but this is different! as i said, it's hard to explain. Imagine you booting it in second gear and at about 4.5-5 k rpm, no more increase in power and it sounds like ur rev limiting, and u can hear the noise from under the car - WTF! that's y i thought it was cos i wasn't running a CAT, but now i have one it still does it! i'm lost...
  22. Hey guys, I'm not sure if anyone can help me, or knows what's wrong... so here goes... My R34 GTT has a HKS hi-power exhaust, custom dump, with a catco cat and a resonator. When i'm giving it a bit of stick, it makes a funny noise. It sounds like I'm hitting rev limiter (i know i'm not though, cos the rev's are still rising when i hear it, and it's around 5000rpm). I've recently put a cat on because i thought it was something to do with back pressure, or something. But it still happens even after i have put on the cat. The noise is hard to describe, it sounds like it's restricted, and can't get more airflow... and i can notice the power drop when it happens. It's soo farken gay, when ppl hear it they think i've hit rev limiter cos that what it sounds like... and i'm like.. WTF is that noise! I hope someone can help me! Thanks in advance guys.   24. ya i'm the same Dan. I nearly bought one cos i think they're sweet - quick, look neat, but are too common. So i got a R34 - quick (not as quick as supra), look real neat, but are alot rarer than the supra.
