Hi, Looking at a lot of guides on how to plumb in the boost/vacuum hoses, most say you need to remove the original hoses from the standard solenoid. However I have a remote oil cooler between the plenum and fuse box which make it practically impossible to get underneath the plenum to the bottom of the yellow ringed hose which connects to underside of the standard solenoid. I read one guy who bypassed all standard plumbing but left them all in place in case he wanted to return to standard. Unfortunately he didn't give a description how he did it. Any help would be great or if someone want to meet as it's easier to see in person. Cheers, Choco.

Cheers will try the multimeter. No the gauge will not be used for tuning. Purely used as a guide if the car is leaning out and shows something needs further attention. I know they are not accurate but I figure something a little accurate is better than nothing. Thanks for the concern anyway. Cheers, Allan

As the title suggests, Just installed an Autometer Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite A/F guage in an R33 RB26. Wired: Red to Power, Black to Ground and Violet to ECU O2 Sensor connection (clear wire at pin 29) As soon as the ignition is switched on the last green rich LED lights up and the light never moves from it at all, ever. I can't find any troubleshooting or posts anywhere with same problems and an answer. So... Is it a wiring issue? O2 Sensor issue? Is my car just that rich? Something else? Thanks, Choco.

I've just done the same. I was only running 0.6 bar so I removed my restrictor and still only running 0.6bar. Apart from the 2 vacuum lines, does you PCM have anything else connected? Behind where the bottom hose, the one that contained the restrictor, attaches feels like there's an electrical connection but nothing is connected. Does yours? I also read one post somewhere that someone was saying if you reduce the restrictor diameter, opposite of removing it, it increases boost. Cheers, Allan

Seeing as FAST doesn't do engine numbers, I'm wondering if there's an accurate way find what car, or mainly engine specs, of an RB engine Ie. V Spec, V spec II, N1 etc. I believe my engine is out of an R33 but a set of engine production specs I found indicates my engine number seems to be before the R33. Now I can't find those engine production specs but from memory it was something like: '94' R32 GTR V Spec II engine #42??? and 1,303 built '95' R33 GTR 5???? My Engine #: RB26047962A All other searches I've done just bring up results of how to find the engine number in the engine bay. Thanks, Allan

Nissan 16" Rims + Tyres basically brand new. Off a GTR but don't think they fit around Brembo's 4 X 16" Wheels + Basically Brand New Tyres off a skyline. Tyres are Uniroyal Rainsport's 225/50/R16 Made in Germany One tyre needs replacing. Sidewall is shot. 3 Nissan centre caps but I never had them on. These tyres were fantastic. Picked them up for about $200 a tyre at tyrepower. Comparitable performance in the wet and dry to $400 tyres. Could drive in the wet like it was dry. A BIT ABOUT THE TYRES; The Uniroyal RainSport 1's wear rate is comparable with the best high- performance European brands. RainSport 1's braking and handling in wet conditions have been shown to be the best among European brands by a margin of seven percent. The tyre uses a full silica compound to maximise grip on wet roads, improving braking and anti-aquaplaning characteristics. The innovative flat profile of the tyre enhances transmission of forces to reduce longitudinal and lateral aquaplaning, a key cause of accidents in wet conditions. Its unique double-V tread pattern in the centre of the tyre disperses water at up to 45 litres per second at 80km/h. "The Uniroyal RainSport 1 is a high performance tyre with impressive wet weather grip and consistent wear characteristics," said Tyremaster national marketing manager, David Basha. Asking Price: 200 Location: QLD: Gold Coast Contact Info: [email protected] or PM with Offers. (Prefer email) May swap for reptiles, reptile equipment, RB26 BOV set up

Thanks I'll have a read

Righto...read all 13 pages and doesn't seem to be too much info for GTR's. Got RB26, pod filters, nismo dump pipes to HKS silent power exhaust. Standard turbo's only running 8 PSI currently but will be upping to maybe 12-14. Even though GTR's are listed as heat 6 and gap 1.1, and all info points to reducing gap and heat as power/boost in increased. What ill effects can happen from running .8 gap and 7 heat on current application in preparation for boost increase? Or do I go; 6 heat with .8? 7 heat with 1.1? Thanks.

My R34 Gtr Front End Stagea Build Thread
choco replied to darrinspencer's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Congrats on the build completion (well all but finished). Looks fantastic. If your still undecided on wheels I reckon go the Rays. They are not that common and are the sort of wheel people either like or don't. I run the Rays Gram Lights. I like the track look that Rays have which suits the r34 rather than a showy run of the mill wheel. When is the cruise in NOV? -
Cheers Owgasm, Had my house warming last night so kinda slept in a bit. Looked like a good turn out. Was there more cars at the 1st meet that didn't go to the dam?

Hi Chris, I got the Stagea. Can't wait for the pics to get up. Cheers,

Gold Coast/brissie Stagea Meet - Call It Se Qld
choco replied to rb26stagea's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hate to do it but may be a no show tomorrow. Have had 1st contact in the last couple of days from the girlfriends Uncle who has been uncontactable in Vic in the middle of the fires. It's only been limited and not sure to what extent he's effected. Friends up here we're finding out have also lost rellies and other friends so I think we're going to show our support on the Bushfire Charity Event. I was really looking forward to this one to see soooo many Stagea's together. Next time I guess. -

That's A Nice Looking Volvo Mate.......
choco replied to Paramour's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I was driving through surfers one night in lots traffic. As I approached guy 1 points and said something (was too far away to hear) as I stopped just short of them his mate said "no its a Volvo" 1st guy "nah it's got a skyline front" they went back and forwards with comments of what it was followed by "nah it can't be it's got a...". After a while the 1st cguy came back to "gotta be some sort of skyline" his mate "WOW a skyline wagon" as I drove away. Another I was driving back through Muswelbrook in NSW. Mum and a couple kids walking along. The daughter about 14 picked it up about 70m away literally stopped, big jaw drop and rubbernecked while I went past and throught the next round-a-bout. Meanwhile mum and the rest had kept walking. -
Can't comment on the front bar as it's not one of theirs. My side skirts sat about 11cm off the ground. Haven't measured an exact height but at the rear, 18's with 35 profile tyres has about an finger width to the guard. My old side skirts sat 7cm. I can sell you those if you want to get back at the missus for something
