  3. I actually saw one of those filters fail on Facebook the other day. The nut came off and went straight into the turbo. Plenty of people have used them with no dramas, and it was the first time I have ever seen it happen. So up to you. I just use the cheap ones from supercheap etc.
  4. you're in luck, i was already on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Plastic-Filter-Adaptor-CALPA9-SFA9-Brand-NEW-Super-Cheap-Auto-/221960504582?hash=item33ade08506:g:T54AAOSwqu9VJkey
  5. i've been trying to scourer the net for information on grip vs width vs cost. Hope someone here can help. R-s3 are $200 for 235/45r17 vs $250 for 245/40r17 Is it worth the extra $200 for the 4? It seems the 225/45r17 have gotten more expensive while the 235 have gotten cheaper in the last 6 months. weird.
  6. Welcome to SAU dtrants Just put the new maf onto your airbox, plug it in, and start driving. The maf od is 3" so any 3" pod will fit. But you will need an adaptor. They can be found online or ebay etc. I used to use a k&n panel filter. I washed it with cold water then let it dry and it was fine for 6 months until I changed my setup. If there are any remnants of oil on the filter and it does make a film over your new maf, get some contact cleaner and spray the maf wire and it should clean it up.

  8. The engine should still come with around 3 months exchange warranty, regardless of whether they have seen it running or not. Unless things have changed.

  17. Yep. Your post was spot on gts. Just letting v28 know
  18. I believe for db tests you can't use a bolt in silencer. A lot of people just cut up a coke can or similar and drill holes in it and put that between a flange to pass db limits.
  19. Prices on traders products. Not just a phone number to call. Even a disclaimer stating prices change. it will give members a price guide on the products and they might be more inclined to call. Or atleast get their list together for their build.
  20. Keen to see your results Scott.
