  1. How is the exhaust T going after all this time? I was a bit skeptical of the spring loosening up over time and when the exhaust gets hot.
  2. Don't. I just had a kinder surprise and a vb.
  3. Has anyone linked their exhaust to their intake? It would be like free power, right?
  4. Why come here then? Bye.
  5. No. Having the same question asked a million times clogs up the search results. You are left with 100's of small threads that are left with half information because someone didn't have the foresight to search google for the thread that had all the relevant information in it. There is a large comprehensive size and offset thread on this very site. What would you prefer? Hundreds of small threads with tiny bits of information. Or 1 large thread with all the information you will ever need?
  6. We shoud all remove ur shrouds if itz harmfulZ 2 xtremistz!!! Dis iz f*kn Straya!!
  7. Start a new thread on how to use google for the best results.
  8. Yep I did, I guess?. The gates belt is a LOT stiffer than the genuine and dayco belt, so at the same tension of the original, the gates felt a little loose. I did it up a bit tighter and it whirres
  9. Balancer bolt is normal thread. Righty tighty lefty loosey. There are a few ways to undo it. Cams won't move, they're locked. I'd advise looking at all Diys we have on this website and getting a good idea on how to do it. Maybe someone here who is close to you can come and help too
  10. All belts. Thermostat. Bearings. Cam crank seals. Anything you have to pull out or apart
  11. It's great. Having the lower compression of the turbo while not having the intake restriction of the turbo was the best decision I ever made. No boost lag. No intake restrictions. Lower compression. The list goes on.
  12. You'll be fine it's so simple. Wind it over and watch the cam marks and that they align, then check the crank. Done.
  13. There's 4 very good write ups with pictures on this site. Everything is in them. Take your time and take mental pictures or physical ones of everything you haven't seen before or are unsure of as it will help when putting it back together. have the correct tools handy. Get a balancer puller that uses the two m6 holes to pull it off.
  14. There are too many variables to fuel economy. Someone who drives 20ks to work in a non congested 60-90kph will get far better fuel economy than someone who drives 20kmph in a congested 60kmph section. Someone who starts their car and drives straight into 90kmph will get worse fuel economy than someone who can get their car up to temp and out of enrichment at a leisurely pace. Temperature plays a huge role too. Comparing fuel economy to someone who drives different roads than you is pointless. I moved from the coast where I was getting 12l/100 to the act where I was getting 14l/100 because of the location and roads.
  15. Hey Tao. Have you posted P98 power figures of your new 21U turbo? If not could you please? I'd imagine the OP housing would make minimal gains over the 21U? What size is your exhaust and what mufflers etc?
  16. Just get a new rad and thermostat. Bleed it correctly. Done.
  17. This had always interested me and no one has posted results before. Even on other platforms. What were your findings?
  18. safest way would be 6th gear dump. If you don't have a 6th gear, you may need to get a 6spd box, they're cheap and easy to fit.
  19. BOLT SLEEVES. $4 and they fit perfectly. f**k load better than paying $60 for the exact same thing. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/391261964259?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Tape and glue was fine when i took them off yesterday. Of course it will be, it's rated at 130deg and it has no way of unraveling.
  20. Not really. Unless you like massive apple pies and cheap alcohol.
  21. I'm sure they would be very popular, as were the ones that were a remake a few years ago.
