On the same hand though redline. I know of a dealership in Sydney who has had over 5 cases of the sump plug not being tight enough causing engine failure, all within the space of a month. It would have been beneficial for the dealership to have outsourced. (Or get smarter employees) I'll be damned if I'm going to pay an extra $100 for an oil and filter change because it's at a dealership.

Trex replied to White5tar's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Or do wut I'm doin. I'm usin the rb26 with rb20 rods pistons and frank. Ultimate sleeper! No cops gunna no. I'm also hownin and borin the inside and outside of the blok to up the compression to bring on boost easier because of the shitty 26 block. Heaps of write ups how 2. -
Discussion About Gtst, Are They P Plate Legal.
Trex replied to White5tar's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I've looked into this. They're only p plate legal with an rb26 engine or an 25/26/30. Rb20 and rb25 are illegal. -
Comes down to driving conditions too. I used to get 12l/100 in the Stagea because I was able to let it heat up at my own leisure before hitting traffic. I've noticed a huge drop in Econ because of my new home and work location.

turbosmart mbc. The best as my testing had showed. Why a new manifold with only 550 inj? Hypergear showed that the standard manifold will bring on boost sooner and gives large power. Look through the rb25 dyno thread to see power with mods lists. You might be able to get the rear adjustables rebuilt, if not look into mca, also aus owned and do great work.
-
Get a turbosmart as they're aus owned. Or wait till they've setup shop in bermingham but that could take a while. Mbc ebc it's just a matter of what you want and need and there is plenty of info out there on what each one does. Check out the website autospeed for a full run down on each

incorrect. Airbags, laying frame, pinch, door are legal. And you can't put one persons cheap arbags and or lines etc into the same basket as someone who has done it correctly with quality gear that lasts and is regularly checked for splits kinks etc

Skyline Braking Issue
Trex replied to stranger12's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Forgot it was a 34 he had. But you can get them for the 33 http://www.gktech.com/index.php/r33-gts-t-caliper-bracket-to-suit-324mm-r33-gtr-rotor-1.html Am I correct I. My thinking that they would be almost useless? Minus heat transfer -
He actually knows quite a lot haha. Really man I told you in your first thread just ask you question through google and type sau at the end. If you're still struggling for a definitive answer ask here and give your reasons as to why. I don't mind some of these threads as it broadens my mindset on modifications but some are asked over and over again and become frustrating to some members who answer these same questions over and over again.

Just googled tldr. The explanation was too long. Can someone dot point it for me? Also what oil do you guys use? How much power will I make on 10psi? How do I remove the carbon cannister? I'm getting bad economy, how do I fix it? How much power will an intercooler give me? Just installed an ebc and it's not working, any help? Etc

Skyline Braking Issue
Trex replied to stranger12's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Unless you get spacers for the caliper. But I find that kind of redundant as the pad will only contact the same amount of rotor as the smaller rotor. Also I agree 100% with gts as many people have said that standard skyline brakes are more than capable with good pads, fluid etc -
Thanks bob. Ha you already had quite a lot of power if memory serves me well.

22 front and 24 rear. Full hard f&r. I should probably change the front, but it feels great for the street. Since lowering the front i gained more neg front camber which I have read can help with understeer. Got new tyres also. I still haven't had a chance to test the car properly yet kiwi, but i did do one familiar corner which was a long round merging lane on the freeway, it felt 100x better with no real feeling of un easiness. I was looking at gtr lsd's a while ago, but i can't justify the money when my open's are still functioning. Like everything else though, when they start to die ill upgrade to something better. Thanks I'll look into quaife! Printed out the sau nsw membership forms for my cams license last night because the GM club in canberra hold quite a few gymkhana days, so i'll be able to test the car in the right environment and possibly head to wakefield sometime this year. How did you find the stagea when you were racing kiwi? Anything you wish you did?
-
Got rego in the act the other day. Can't thank import parts canberra in Mitchell enough! Great people with excellent prices! Lowered the stagea a bit more and it feels really tight, just need some whiteline rear top control arms to make the rear more stable Started sorting out the glovebox gauges. I'll be using redgum as the gauge backing with digital oil press boost and water temp, and an innovate digital wb for a similar look.
