  1. You're right, the xr5t is fwd. Quickest fwd I've ever seen, and probably will. I wouldn't expect anything less than perfection when ford starts dealing with their awd focus, after all they have been doing it for years. Awd would come in handy reguard less of power, where a fwd would start to understeer you could fine tune the awd to push it through the corner and vise versa. Honda has had this tech since the 90's for their accord that was marketed at snowy regions. Pretty amazing when you see how it works, and almost dummy proof in a way that anyone can get in and drive it.
  2. ^ having watched an awd focus leave me for dead through the twisties a little over 6 yrs ago, I have always had a fascination and great respect for them. Awd > everything else.
  3. From the Hondas I qc'd I doubt anyone took a second look at them, even your accords were put together with what seems like a 5yr old with eye and hand coordination misfortune. Doubt you Vic guys will be getting these plates as every other state has been talking about them and the picture in which prank posted seems awfully familiar to the others.
  4. Blue 34 gtr gold 33 gtr. Probably like 6 33's. Canberra import parts haha
  5. If you have the space you'll be better off parting out and throwing each individual part on eBay and the likes. Do a short list and you'll realize how quickly you'll get to $3500. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
  6. Sooner than you think Kat. Spotted white 34 gtr at yarralumla shops.
  7. Pics needed for assessment.

  9. Anyone have any wheels with register able tyres I could buy or borrow? Failed rego because my wheels were too wide
  10. 3/8 is loose on the 679. They are thick lines, that's all. I believe Scotty was talking about a temp gauge in the last auto thread, using a sensor adaptor for the 3/8 lines.
  11. This is so sexist! I can't believe men are stopping women from being apart of motorsport. I think all women should go braless or topless to show these men that they can not and will not tell you what you can and can't do!
  12. Can we get innovation back on mobile? It's a lot easier on the eyes
  13. *edit. Sorry mate, didn't realize this was a for sale thread. I thought you were asking for opinions. Glws
  14. Fitted my stand alone davies craig 679 and driven it with no problems in 6-10deg weather every morning. It is placed behind the grill and takes roughly 10min for the trans to go into lockup if driving like a normal person on 60-80k roads. When the weather starts to get colder if I notice any adverse affecs I will add a plate that can sit over it and shield it from air. It got rid of all flairing inbetween gears and shifts better than before. (Could just be masking another problem)
  15. Last time I measured the 34 console the side wall was roughly 20mm taller and wouldn't match up. Could have easily cut it down to size though.
  16. Sqwark! Get it on the angle of sqweek and try and pinpoint the specific location. Don't waste money until you know exactly what is causing it. Did you grease the arb d bushes?

  18. Have to be happy with that garage. Are you going to push the front wheels out more to match the rear? Or using them as your camber adjustment? Looks like fun man.
  19. I'm currently using NU Polish as it's cheap and gives a great shine, Protech paint sealant reacts well with the polish and it can last for 6-12 months while using a wash and wax once a week. Protech paint sealant is the same stuff sold on new model cars as the 'lifetime paint guarantee' You'll need to work the polish into the paint. The sealant doesn't need to be rubbed in, just use it sparingly and make sure you have an even coat and once it's hazed just wipe off.
  20. $700 for springs and new shocks? MCA blues are $1500, something to consider. You could just get some new springs for cheap. Post a picture of its height ATM.
  21. These arrived yesterday afternoon and I couldn't wait for the weekend so I put them in and set the height. Drives unbelievably well on the street, haven't pushed it very hard yet but the steering is more responsive and it soaks up the bumps mid corner. There was one particular section heading out of northbourne road towards parlement house that has a really bad transition between the road and the bridge. These soaked it right up and kept the car planted. Money very well spent. Next will be checking understeer and and what's needs doing to minimize it.
  22. Gave it a detail. Inb4 is that a dick.
