  1. Gave the Stagea and kia a wash and vac. Looks alright clean
  2. Replaced some vac hoses and went to replace my o2 sensor and noticed it was only half threaded in then noticed the thread is stuffed. Here's to hoping the new one stays in long enough for me to get to the exhaust shop next weekend. Booked in to get my car inspected for act rego on Monday, thanks to anfanee for telling me where to go. Don't think it will pass though haha
  3. Nice looking silver gtt with gold meshies
  4. That post you quoted was 8784 hours old.
  5. I understand you can easily tune around having an atmospheric bov. So you're saying that if you're having problems with having a too tight of a bov that's causing flutter, you can move the afm further away from the turbine and it will fix the stalling?
  6. Damn haha. What parts are wrong? I thought having air coming back through the blades towards the afm in bursts would cause the afm to read air in bursts causing fueling in bursts also. Also a map would be placed in the plenum and wouldn't be affected?
  7. Ben is on the money. Also correct me if I am wrong, but you will never fix the stalling if you are getting reversion from the turbo while using an afm. You will need a map sensor to fix it. (Or make it a blow through setup, though I have never used one or seen one that works well.)
  8. I meant, e.g. Carbie 304. So efi blocks with carbie induction on certain year cars. And also that there was a limited run of VL's that came with a carbied 308 and 304, I had no idea until I called my old blue slipperDon't bother calling the government or the rta etc as they have zero idea on anything. I actually had a guy telling me it was illegal and asking for the rego. Call a blue slipper and they will be able to tell you straight away whether it's legal or not.
  9. ^ if you're in nsw. This is 100% correct. Any type of engine conversion that the make of car came with from factory needs a blue slip and change of engine I.D on the rego papers. And that's it. There are also small loop holes when you really start looking into engine conversions of other makes. It's actually pretty cool some of the combos you can do.
  10. That was for 98.
  11. Seems to run on my rb fine. Saw some lsx's today filling up. And it was $1.29. I think I've found my new servo
  12. I thought bricks was tuned by an e420d? Made 230kw on his m35. I know DVS JEZ did another m35 with adap. And it's deff been a proven product as a piggy on r33's, 2 ppl have made 280+kw still auto. You really need to do some reading up onboat the ecus shon. Write down all of the points and then compare them, but at the end of the day, it's scotts call on what he wants to use.
  13. I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread with places to go and things to see, whether you're a long term resident or just visiting. Please feel free to contribute. Today I went to see the national gallery of australia / the portrate gallery and to go on a walk along the waterfront. Located at the King Edward terrace, Parkes ACT.
  14. Is that you Paul?
  15. I cut the original hard pipe at the C loop on the bov return, then used some oil hose to connect it all back up. The bov return goes through the power steering line and the turbo hot pipe. The cam cover line was placed next to it. You can pretty it up easily enough.
  16. 90deg alloy pipe with a 2.5"-3" reducer. If you want the bov return, weld in a piece. And if you're still using the cam cover vac, weld that in also. Car is looking great sandy! I'm sure JEZ can sort you out, he has done fantastic work on friends cars in the past.
  17. Have you looked into adaptronic's e420d? They have an inbuilt map sensor and base maps to get the car running. Target afr, closed loop tuning, aux outputs for boost soleniod etc. and great customer service and trouble shooting. Hypergear on here sell them
  18. Plenty on eBay that are already blown or try fb drift sales etc
  19. I've been thinking about this too over the last year, but once you go for a drive through a mountain you fall in love again. They aren't fast and they're big and heavy, but they still get up and go and things like the dash, leather, power everything etc they're great for the money. I decided to keep mine and couldn't be happier
  20. Hope you get it sorted 5hiv. I got some woodgrain interior bits about 3 months ago, cut the centre console and put all that in. Just need some black leather to make a shift boot. Today I finally got around to putting in my electric window and mirror switches. I blew the 25A fuse in hopes that it would work. Changed the facia and it all works.
  21. Silver r33 and black 34 with mudflaps in civic
  22. Did you do what I said? Honestly every nut and bolt I have dropped has fallen into the splash guards and slid into a nook where a magnet would not get it. Also if you can, roll the car back and check the ground
  23. I just bought myself an offset 22mm socket. With 2 failed o2 sensors in a year it will come in handy.
  24. Jack it up and check in the bumper and engine trays. Mine are always lucky enough to fall and slide down into the bumper lip where it's almost impossible to get out.
  25. We use a few adjustable spindle moulder c spanners at work. Try a few machinist shops or hardware stores and get the correct size for your coils
