  1. My pinkslip guy who i dealt with for 4yrs in all types of cars told me he had been getting pressure from 'someone' for unroady cars. I thanked him for my last pinkslip 2 yrs ago and I've moved on. It's time to move on and find someone new who isn't on the radar.
  2. transgender
  3. I was about to edit my post to write that i use tissue paper to cover the glass haha. Just tested it again while using the negative as my multi negative. I got 12.18 and when i turned my headlights on i got 11.5 It was fluctuating a bit, but held steady after a while.
  4. Who else has the problem of their fog light h3c globes blowing after a month? They go black and cloudy. From memory i tried reversing the wires and they wouldn't work. I've tried 12v 55w repco ones, narva and cheapo chinese. I'm getting 12.1v through positive (I'm not the best with a multi metre, I was on dcv20 / positive plugged into 10a dc / negative plugged into v*ma
  5. I've driven a car with better rear brakes than the front, It's not easy to control when they lock. The rear will push the front of the car until the rear steps out. Imagine that while setting up for a corner. GTS is one of a handful of members who tries to help every member on this forum with an answer, most of the time is correct. He isn't a dick when asked why or how something works, maybe next time ask why he believes what he is typing.
  6. Seriously - driveway? Ramp gutter/driveway? Drain pipes that poke out from said things.... Edited for, Mini roundabouts that you drive over, speed bumps, drains next to gutters, wooden bridges, section bridges, glass, nails, screws, car parts, children. But they were made in 2011, so would be deteriorating and they need replacing regardless. The first time i spoke to my tyre guy, he told me never to use tyres that are over 3yrs old.
  7. Seen plenty of this on all makes of tyres, most of the time its from the road, pot holes, gutters etc.
  8. afm? I had a very similar thing happen.
  9. You're so f**king un helpful hey... It will make 180rwkw. If your exhaust is a motec one it should make a little more.
  10. or put a shift light behind the aircon vent
  11. Put up a new list of everything you have changed and checked. 6 pgs is a lot to read through. Have you tried a recirc bov just for the hell of it? The symptoms you described. under load in a high gear, then changing to a lower one would make the power loss from over fuelling more pronounced.
  12. Hard tuned http://hardtuned.net/forums/index.php?showforum=389 But there is a f**kload of pictures/how-to's in google if you type 'home made splitters' some from people who actually race (why i mentioned HT) You guys would know a lot more than myself. But i always thought splitters would only be good on fast tracks with high speed turns and having a low enough car, so it doesn't lift the front up? And going on from your post Neil, would a splitter that went back further than the front bumper be better? or I'm guessing it would be a case of trial and error, and what type of bumper and other mods are used?
  13. HT have a few home made splitters in the build section
  14. Couldn't agree more. Mine and a few other members from here and HT have had Yellow Jackets literally melt. No refund given, only an ear full. A dodgy product is a dodgy product and should not be endorsed when it can cause major problems. This was with only 11psi and 1.1 & 0.8 gap me personally. Now using splitfires on 13psi and they work fine. Have heard of a few people having problem with them, but it's quickly sorted and they've been sent replacements. If i had my time again, I would have just bought OEM as bob said, they lasted 15+ years.
  15. They were the ones who got taken to court and lost for winding back k's. Also JOC found 3 other vehicles within the week that were wound back 50-100K+ from their dealership. I would be checking service history, especially because of the CVT
  16. No one has mentioned that if you're getting stiffer springs, the shocks aren't designed for them. You'll notice when going over a bump or a ditch it will be firmer on the compression but spring back quicker when the spring is released from its downward stroke. The standard shocks aren't designed to have that much force pushing on them
  17. You should call someone who does blue slips in NSW, then go from there. The RTA don't know anything and will dribble shit all day long.
