  2. The latch itself is obviously not going down far enough to clip over the U bracket properly. OR you need to clean the latch and make sure it is in working oder. OR. loosen the lack bolts and give it a tap with a rubber mallet then re tighten
  3. Quoted for grammar issue. Still better than the 'rap star'
  4. I'm no expert on this, but! Could the boot is so repulsed by todays shit 'rap' that it is trying to de hinge itself? lol only joking No I'm not.
  5. Thank you I actually read the same thread a few years ago but could never find it in australia. just found it on waxit. That was exactly my intention, to mask it. The last time i looked at these products i could not find anything to get rid of the chalky stains. I just found duragloss 481 on carcareproducts, they seem confident about their product. Now that I can get rid of the chalky stains I can get something that will restore shine and protect I will give the rubbers a hit with duragloss 481 then use cquartz dlux. Thank you for your help you two
  6. How can i make my window rubber surrounds black again? They're chalky and look shit. I've tried 4 coats of back to black and it lasted a few months but I'm after something that will be glossy and last. You detailers must know of something
  7. LOL this comes up every few months with all the P platers hugging and kissing each other. The only reason the law came into place was because of all the new small cars with turbochargers.
  8. SK is a really nice guy, and answered a lot of questions i had in regards to suspension setup. If you know exactly what you want you cannot beat a shock and spring combo that work well together for the road and hill runs. lol at the billy cart comment, most of the adjustable cars i have followed usually end up skipping and you can see how unstable they're on bumpy corners. could this be because most of them were set to full hard with 8kg+ springs? I havent met anyone with bc hsd tein etc with 4-5kg springs yet. Anyone know how they would ride? and how long the shock would last?
  9. There are a few videos on how to pull a range of turbos apart and put it back together on youtube. And idk on smoothening it out, but I'm guessing it would be the same as a plenum. Take very little off, just enough to smoothen it out?
  10. ^ Yep legend! As other has said, Reshell the car. You could make a mint one with all the parts from the 2 I'll call my friend who has the same colour who just blew his motor, see if he wants to sell.
  11. $600 for used... No way. Not ever. In a million years. And Wasn't that group buy in 2008? Kyb are one of the leading manufacturers in stock replacement struts shocks. I recomended these because the OP is obviously after original or as close to. Otherwise I would have recommended something else along with aftermarket arms etc etc...
  12. Nissan: Shock boots $300 pair Toe arms $640 pair Unsure on bumps and shocks It's a reasonable quote if everything is Nissan Genuine. Amayama Shock boots $10 each http://www.amayama.com/search/?q=54055-15U00 KYB do standard shocks for the r33 for $300 pair. Unsure what the part numbers are for the r34 sorry. And i can't find part numbers for the toe arms. If you find the part numbers through google, you can do your own searching and find the best prices then do it yourself There are plenty of how to's on the internet.
  13. I've had soo many dramas with aus post. I started writing everything in capital red letters on white paper. Seems to have worked
  14. Following on from pulling the whole rear of the interior out. I vacuumed then cleaned the chassis with a wet rag then polished dry. Put the seats, floors, walls, mats etc back in. I then sprayed all the fabric areas and scrubbed to get all the stains out, let sit overnight. I then vacuumed the areas and moved onto the front of the interior. I did the same again with the centre console seats etc. I also had enough time to clean all the door jams and give them a polish. Looks like a brand new car Still have to leather protect and fabric protect the interior. Next i will be spraying the side front and rear moulds silver to match the rest of the car as they have faded badly and no amount of elbow grease is bringing them back to an acceptable standard. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to bring black window rubbers back to their glossy finish? Mine are chalky and 'back to black' didn't bring them back good enough for long enough.
  15. It's could be as simple as an alignment issue. Or the type of tyre that the car has.
  16. Keep us posted on how you go. I'm still keen on something I can make the exhaust louder when I have 'that' feeling. I was looking at these a few years ago but never did anything about it. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271310820790 What do you think? By the looks of it and thinking about how they're setup. It seems like it would leak all the time and wouldn't give me what I want.
  17. Jesus this thing has been hacked at. After everything that needs to be done, you wont make any money on this.
  18. Hows your home made one going scott?
  19. GREAT DOCTORING ON THAT VIDEO! I was following this case closely because, in the original video you can see the grey utes bonnet dip up as he accelerated hastely, then dip down sharply just as he merged into the right lane. He was the instigator in this attack. They don't want you to see the video footage moments prior to the incident... He merged into the left hand lane just prior to the lights to give the black ute a 'chance' to get infront. I am not condoning what the crazed motorist did, but the silver ute was the instigator and was the one provoking him to extreme proportions throughout their trip together.
  20. They can't and won't do anything without a rego. But it is a GREAT idea to report it because if someone else reports a similar incident you will be notified and called in to be questioned further. One step closer to justice.
  21. HUGE ADVANTAGE not only to power, but also your wallet stock vs nistune 32 33 & 34 You should see a gain of 50-100k's per tank when cruising. If you're travelling around 500k's per week you would make back your money within 6 months easily. Yours being a gtr, you probably don't do too many k's. So it's not much of a worry. But power gain i know for the above and min mods you could expect anything up to 40rwkw
  22. Good idea getting out of there fast!! My cousin had a similar thing happen. He slowed down, they caught up, they ran into him on the freeway and were waving a knife etc etc. long story short he was on the phone to the police who were un helpful and told him to slow down and pull over LOL. He drove the perps straight towards the cop shop where they were caught.
