Hey guys, i havent boosted my car hard for a few weeks, and noticed when i do boot it, the car loses power and surges a small amount, i have more power on slight throttle than 1/4 1/2 and wot. the exhaust has gotten noticeably louder from the tip, and has backfiring on de-accelerating. You can hear the differences from the turbine at different throttle positions, so i am guessing it is still boosting fine. I have an inkling it could be that the cat has let go and caused a restriction? obviously i would check it myself, but one of the bolts for the cat are tight and is almost impossible to get to without a hoist and the right tools. edit: The exhaust sound is clean, and it doesn't want to rev quickly in neutral like it should I've searched online and called some friends but no real answer.

  4. They're piggy backs. dvs jez has tuned an adaptronic on an auto 33. If i recall the mods correctly it would have had around 280kw
  5. $600 to anyone with a stag The rail was brand new 6ish months ago bought from bride in japan and sent via jesse streeter, still have the bride box it came in. The seat was bought 6ish months ago from someone who never completed his build and was brand new still in wrapping when i picked it up.

If you're that paranoid, just take out the cooler and let it drip into a container and check the oil that comes out of it. depending on your setup, cover the hole that the old smic has left, and make a cover for the pod blocking off the headlight etc... Put the standard airbox back in. But really you're just being paranoid. Just don't flog it when it rains, and steer away from puddles.
  7. It really depends on the modifications as to whether an fpr is needed, correct? Like a different fuel rail? Most old cars ran an fpr, is this because of the older tuning styles and software that were available? The guy who imported my car in '07 told me his next step was using an fpr.
  8. They're on special for $26 for either front or rear in the white boxes on ebay... They're usually $36
  9. I doubt enough of it would even reach the throttle body to cause any damage, most of the oil that is re-circulated into the intake sits at the bottom of the intercooler.

  11. From what I've read, the smaller the amount the quicker it goes stale. But there are too many variables like, how old was the fuel when you first purchased it, is your talk sealed properly, was the cap opened at any point etc I'm no expert, just going off what I've read online, and what I've been told. When you're given 40L of free fuel and you hear the story behind it you tent to agree.
  12. My friends housemate races quads, his was tuned on 98 and told me fuel would go stale within 2 weeks in a 20L drum. His engine told him so. Him giving me 40L of free fuel told me so.
  13. I've signed up to the nistune boards to email matt directly, i sent him msg on fb but i never heard a reply. I am a little hesitant, as it has been tried and failed years ago. I'll be waiting for real feedback before placing my money on one. I'm more curious as to where stu has gone, as they were meant to be released.
  14. quick google search told me you can already buy: Fender brace Floor brace F+R Strut brace Lower rear underbody brace Rollcage Put your front reo back on, some thicker swaybars, change old bushes and then think about more braces. edit: also looking at most of the so called 'braces' online, you can see how a lot of them are flawed, and nothing more than great marketing with gif images. In saying that, some do have a purpose for minute changes. It's up to you, but I'd changed flogged out parts before adding more weight and money into things that don't necessarily change anything.

  16. Thanks it's bloody comfortable and ties in perfectly with the interior. I really don't want to sell it, but since my back injury I need to use some support things on a standard seat
  17. Has anyone heard anything lately? Last time I spoke to him, he was finalizing the board and receiving a bulk load to sell. Tried contacting him and other people who were involved with no luck. I spoke to my tuner who said they were made a few years ago with slow processors which made it impossible to tune. Also a few threads on the subject on the nistune forums. What's everyone's opinion on these?
  18. Fits 32 33 gtst and 32 33 34 gtr and c34. From what I've been told and every thread on this site. Genuine bride with genuine rail. No one made copies of these seats. And I bought the rail brand new through bride and got it sent by Jesse streeter
