New Parts Supplier?
Lemonnuff31 replied to Lemonnuff31's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Haha thats actually part of the reason i love this car! I feel my frustration is more to do with the fact it keeps having issues that require fixing, not that they cant be resolved by a trip to pick-a-part. Although this car is fantastic overall, the ol' R31 was certainly easier in this sense!! -
New Parts Supplier?
Lemonnuff31 replied to Lemonnuff31's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I'm after cam sensors at the moment, but i was really talking more generally -
Hi All, Does anyone know any parts store that stocks items for our engines? I'm thinking Bursons or someone? It is becoming increasingly frustrating not having a consistant supplier of new parts. There are numerous second hand dealers around the place but if you want something new, it's barren! Surely there must be someone who supports VQ engines? Tony

Door Lock Jimmied, Now Buggered
Lemonnuff31 replied to Lemonnuff31's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
haha, that is a good idea! Wouldn't these be a real pain to install though? I would have thought that you would need to pull the whole door apart and remove pieces to add this no? -
Hey all, Some little POS ****ing **** etc has tried to jimmy my door lock with what appears to be a screwdriver, and has subsequently lefty half of the darn thing still in the lock. Two questions here, how on earth do i get the screwdriver out, and if the lock is now destroyed, what do i need to do to replace the barrel? I assume this is not an easy or cheap task, as a new barrel will require new keys and therefore coding as well yes? Thanks all. Tony

Headlight Restore Kit
Lemonnuff31 replied to Lemonnuff31's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I just used the kit from autobarn and it came up great! The kit could have done with more in the way of the cleaner and uv protectant, but overall i'm really happy with the results. Hopefully it stays good now. -
Got the rest of this week off work, I don't think I'm getting very much done round the house like I was originally intending, damn GTA

Windscreen Washer Motor
Lemonnuff31 replied to Lemonnuff31's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Interesting, I will have a look this weekend. Is it the same part as the 350z? That will make it a lot easier to find a replacement part. I would like to check the fuse, because it died suddenly, do you know which one it is? -
Hey all, It seems my windscreen washer has died on me. When i pull the lever back to engage it, nothing happens except the wipers turn on. There is no noise from the pump at all, and there is plenty of water in the tank. Has anyone encountered this before? Could it just be a blown fuse, and if so which fuse does this relate to? I hope I don't have to replace the whole pump, cause it looks like it might be a real PITA to get too. Cheers, Tony

The V Series Spotted Thread
Lemonnuff31 replied to funkymonkey's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Silver V35 on the corner of hull rd and Swansea rd in Lilydale a few weekends ago. Guy slowed down and we exchanged thumbs up. Always nice to see the back of our cars on the rd, they have such sexy arses!! -
The noise is down next to where the seat belt clips in, so left hip as your sitting in the drivers seat. It's definitely the seat base, judging from the movements that will cause the noise. I can gets photos up tomorrow, but it is a standard unit on a70th anniversary model, so cream leather with the seat heaters.

For Sale : : Jwt Pop Charger And Shield
Lemonnuff31 replied to v35jet's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Is it new, if not how many kays has it done? -
That's my issue, how do i get the seat apart? 2 screws on the trim at the front of the seat, but then what? I couldn't work out how to get that trim off without breaking it, which is something i have a tenancy to do unfortunately.

Anyone Wrecking A V35 Coupe? Need Parts
Lemonnuff31 replied to V(35)Powarh!'s topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Best of luck. I snapped the plastic sensor part, so i had no choice but to get a new one if i wanted my fuel gauge to work at all. I'm still convinced there is a rogue spring in my fuel tank now. -

Yeah i needed the same, as i snapped mine off completely. I have the receipt around somewhere but i think it was around $60-80 which included being send from sydney to melb. Do you need the plastic float from the drivers side of the car, or the one from the passengers side? Whatever you do, don't go to the dealers, they wanted about $300 for it! -

I got my fuel float from Import Revolution in Melbourne, he was definitely the cheapest option, and very good to deal with. I would recommnd giving him a call, as he can probably assist with the other parts too. http://irev.com.au/ -
Hi All, I'm looking to get the windows in my V tinted and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good place in Melbourne east preferably? I've gone to a few places for quotes but what concerned me is that some places were very 'easy job, no problem' but others where really worried about how much of a pain it would be? So now I'm wondering whether the places that said it would be easy will do a rubbish job or cut corners somehow. Any suggestions of places to try would be great. Cheers

Headlight Restore Kit
Lemonnuff31 replied to Lemonnuff31's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
mmm, for $40 its worth trying the kit i feel. If it doesn't last then so be it and i will revisit the issue then. On the plus side, no need for the gym after all the buffing! -
Hi all, I am looking to get opinions on whether the Meguires lens restoration kit is any good or not? I have faded headlights, and i think it is all external and this kit seems like a good place to start. Is this any good, or are there other products you would recommend? Finally, is there anything else I need, i saw something about UV protector or some such? Cheers

Ryco Air Filter A360 Vs K&n 33-2031-2 Review
Lemonnuff31 replied to skyichigo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Do you know who stocks these blitz filters, or know the right part number? I need a new filter and was going to buy a K&N until i saw this. -
Hi all, My car is suffering from a terrible case of squeaky drivers seat. I know this is an issue that quite a few people suffer from, but does anyone know how to fix it?? Anyone have a good picture filled DIY for how to pull the seat apart to get to the problem areas? Cheers.

Hi All, I have recently upgraded the stock bose head unit in my V because it was rubbish. I only replaced the headunit and left the rest of the sound system stock. Since then I have really noticed the lack of bass from the stock system (had not noticed previously because only had three radio stations and no cd's worked). The original speakers seem fine, but the overall sound is very tinny and lacks any depth whatsoever. What I want to know is, how hard is it to add a sub to the existing set up? Will I need to replace the original amp with an aftermarket one? Do i leave that in and get a second added to run the sub? I will not be looking for any crazy door-falling-off levels of bass, but do need something, so any dvice will be greatly appreciated. Cheers
