Bought my huge batch of earlybirds for me and my friends... 18 to be exact. DJ Factory has plenty but get them while they last or you'll be sorry. $48, which includes the booking fee (so it's $45+3)

yeah for sure. Considering my friend paid $120 for two tribes... poor guy...

ok here's the easy-to-understand steps of taking your car to the pits (welshpool, cos that's where i went) 1. go get your ticket to wait in line to pay your inspection fee of fifty-something dollars 2. With your receipt, drive your car to the used cars or the correct bay in vehicle inspections, cant miss it, it's to the right somewhere. Just stop where it says STOP, or line up behind 1 or more cars in front of you. If you're waiting this could take a while. 3. When an inspector comes out, show him your paid inspection thingy. 4. He'll do his stuff, from checking indicators to going down underneath your car. Just follow his instructions. 5. He'll take your car for a ride around the block too (well he did with mine anyway) 6. After that, just wait till he does his paperwork or whatever, and if u pass he'll peel your yellow off, give you your receipt back and off you go. *disclaimer - from my experience only and no one else's. Conditions apply. Prices may change without notice. No rainchecks. Available while stocks last...

haha yeah... i remember watching one a couple of weeks back, they were trying to test the Mr Bean theory... lifting someone up with helium baloons

thanks for all your responses guys, obviously it seems that it affects turbo'd cars differently. And i guess there isnt much need to test it out on turbos cos lots of ppl on here have done that already. Cheers again now that got me thinking again on another question, my mate with an S15 has had his octane booster bottle sitting on his shoe shelf for a while and i was wondering if it's any good and worth ganking it off him ... do they work? are they worth it etc etc... i'm guessing it aint. I didnt have to put this in the WA section but i wanted to see if any are good and if i can buy it here in WA... move it gently if you have to...

For WA Drivers.....For Those of you that appreciate there cars
tigeryas replied to Bo05t3d's topic in WA Wasteland
for similar reasons my friend refuses to drive his car up around that area (Mirrabooka, Marangaroo, Girrawheen etc) if he has to park the car... Dodgy area, dont live too far from it myself either =/ -
On Monday, A Current Affair had a report on tests between regular, premium and high octane petrol, efficiency, cleanliness, cost-effectiveness, yadda yadda... saw the preview on Monday morning, so I got my mate to tape it for me. And here are the results... well... it's actually a copy and paste job from a chat log on msn... here goes me: Oh yeah how was that program anyway on current affair my mate says: yeah theres not much difference apparently my mate says: between 98ron and normal 96 octane premium my mate says: well not enough to warrant the price my mate says: the mileage worked out being more for the car that had normal premium me: tf my mate says: it traveled like 1.5km further than the 98ron my mate says: i doubt the accuracy of those tests tho my mate says: they used 3 new accords my mate says: but like, the cars might have been different in some way my mate says: a more accurate way wouldve been just to use the same car and measure from the trip meter instead of line up 3 different cars at the same time and see how far each one goes my mate says: eitherway my mate says: the main difference between 98 and 96 is a pollution factor my mate says: which i dont really care about my mate says:so im going for shell premium my mate says: u can use the coles discount voucher there too Anyone else watch it or hear otherwise? feel free to disagree nicely, justify, etc etc... for example, i wonder if results are same for turbo'd cars (since the tested car was an accord) ...?

true that watch out for the freeways, especially when the bus lanes meet cos my mate got done there, was ripping it and the cop was hiding behind those barricades that separate the bus lane from the actual freeway... think it was near the mt henry bridge or something... cheeky buggers...
-
oh hey, while on the topic of BP fuel, i noticed that Ultimate 98 is now TEN cents higher than regular unleaded, not eight. Errm... since when!?!?!? not happy ... obviously... idiots...
-
is that the 2-stroke one? my mate's got this 350Z one, that wasnt too bad, then i saw my other mate's 2-stroke STI and it runs on fuel or something... u start it up like a lawnmower... the top speed was like, 70kmph or something...
-
hmm they are legal yes but just careful WHERE you put it, my mate got caught for obstructing view thingy, $100 for having his speedo near his rearview mirror. i guess they were a bit narky about it... pms'd cops they mustve been. theft? simple... just dont enter a parking lot with one on, let alone take it off after u park... same with northbridge... no need for one on a sat'day night on james st either.
