  1. One person says it can be done, the other says no...
  2. The add says aftermarket GTR wing? Genuine Plastic is usually more expensive than aftermarket fibreglass. I'll give you $300 for it. If it comes with the necessary bolts to bolt onto the boot lid make it $350.
  3. Hi all, I recently bought a buggered RB25 turbo and thinking of Hi-Flowing it. I've heard mixed feelings about this from one or two people, however I'd like an opinion from people who have done this before and have some results to prove. My current mods are FMIC, pod filter, Bleed Valve, BOV, 3" turbo-back exhaust. From my own knowledge after bolting on a hi-flow I think it will be necessary to get an Apexi Power FC (or at a minimum an SAFC), probably a Z32 air flow meter and bigger fuel pump and possibly bigger injectors. Does that sound about right? I aim for around 250rwkw but with a reliable set up that won't go KABOOM on me. From peoples experience, is it possible to easily obtain 250rwkw with a hi-flow RB25 turbo? And if it can reach 250rwkw, what other mods would I need to build up to around 300rwkw? I'm thinking about getting a HKS actuator over the standard, would this benefit in gaining the power I'm aiming for? Thanks for your help..
  4. I am personally going for a hi-flow RB25 it'll set me back around $1950 for a hi-flow at GCG turbochargees in Sydney they told me that hi-flow is based in the middle of a stage 1 and stage 2 hi-flow. I've seen the difference in wheel sizes on the turbo and I can understand where the extra power is made. A hi-flowed RB25 turbo will make roughly 20% more power on around 12psi. So if your making around 170rwkw with 12psi on standard turbo you'd be looking at around 200rwkw with hi-flow.
  5. I'm after a tuff looking rear bar pretty urgently, something either like a Nismo 400R or R33 GTR rear bar. Not looking to pay anymore than around $300ish. Any help will be most appreciated.
  6. Sorry guys the air box was just picked up and sold 30mins ago.
  7. Tein HR coilovers.. I've been searching for some info on these and I haven't found anything. Even on the Tein website, is there such thing as HR coilovers?
  8. Wing is not sold. Feel free to buy it. It's in perfect condition, not a scratch on it!
  9. Speak to INASNT on the forums. he has them.
  10. personally mate, I'm on the same road as you and have the same mods. Go get yourself a turbosmart bleed valve $100 and open it up so around 10psi (safe) or if you want that little bit more than 12psi. I don't recommend going over 12psi with standard turbo. Now I've noticed running 10psi with FMIC and exhaust that the mixtures are quite rich and it doesn't rev out cleanly, so my next option is going to be a apexi PFC (around $1100 from nengun) only because I look to fit a bigger turbo in time. Otherwise if your not looking to be going for bigger mods I would just get yourself a Apexi SAFC which will ONLY adjust your air/fuel mixtures and that would set you back around $450 for the unit and another $200 or so for a tune on the dyno. Now that you have the adjustable a/f ratio you can go for things like a bigger Air flow meter and large fuel pump etc. Pumping more fuel and allowing more air into the engine as well as still being able to tune the mixtures perfectly. So yeah thats my 2cents, but if I was you I'd definately start with a bleed valve and you will definately notice quite a bit of bang for you buck.
  11. I am still on p's and I have been pulled over and told by the copper that I was not meant to be driving a Skyline RB25DET model. He explained that the "black book" of forbidden P plater cars is based on the power to weight ratio and that the skyline Rb25 is among the WRX's and also VL turbo's are fine to drive but once any modification is done to them they are considered too powerful for a P plate. He was a fairly good bloke of a cop, cos then I asked 'what do you suggest I do? B'cos i'm obviously not going to sell my car when I'll be off P's in a year' an he told me 'well no I wouldn't expect you to sell it and I wouldn't really worry about it either, half the guys in blue uniforms don't know the difference whether they are legal or not'. So there you go...
