You've proven that it is some type of VG30 and you would have known when I told you I had plans for the hi-flow and large VG30 turbine housing for my RB25 that this wouldn't be for me. But I guess you didn't care and you were happy to take the money and not give it back when I've realised it's no good to me. Anyway Karma's a bitch mate! When you do wrong to one person it'll come back to you some day. Good luck with your sale.

Your topic for the ad was VG30, that can easily be misinterpreted to beleive it was VG30DET or VG30DETT. All I knew is that I wanted the VG30 turbine housing which was larger than my RB25 for a hi-flow and I told you that but you didn't have a problem taking my money and then basically tough luck you can't have it back now. I didn't know what to look for when buying it other than the larger turbine housing and with the dump pipe and heat shield on I couldn't see that. Now it's just gotten to the point that you knew what my plans were for it and that it would be useless but you still took my money and refuse to give it back. Is that how someone should trade on these forums?

OK I had a look.. It has a Garrett logo on the top. Underneath it says - SK 16395 14411-40P16 466083-1

Thats exactly what I was going to do, after speaking to SK he told me some good power can be found with a VG30 turbine housing on the standard RB25.

The seller said it was off an 300zx 1989 model - I'm not doubting it is off a 300zx but is it a VG30?

CEF11E - I told him it was for an RB25 hi-flow cos i wanted the VG30 turbine housing. I will admit though he did ask me if thats what I wanted and I didn't care for the fact it was stuffed I only needed the VG30 turbine housing, I didn't know what VG30 was supposed to look like exactly as I never seen one so I said I guess so. Ok Sweet.. the turbo is at work so I'll post up the numbers tomorrow. It's pretty filthy of oil and stuff but when I had to give it a whipe back I noticed the GARRETT logo on it and then I could just barely see A/R .45 or .48. Thats when I thought hang on - I'll ask GCG before I send this up to them asking to hi-flow this for my RB25. I was told by discopotato awhile back that RB20/RB25/VG30 are all nissan turbos manufactured by Hitachi and not to confuse them with anything to Garrett. The only vague similarity are the T3 flanges - which this turb doesn't have. ** I can post up photos of the flange if necessary.

I was lead to beleive this was a VG30 turbo, I had plans to use the turbine housing to ad to my hi-flow of my stock RB25 turbo. I didn't know exactly what the VG30 was supposed to look like but if someones selling an apple you'd think it would actually be an apple, right? I thought the VG30 was supposed to have a larger turbine housing so I sent photos to GCG in Sydney for a discription on what I had just bought. They came back saying it's an SR20/CA18 Garrett T25 turbo and asked (quote) "Who the hell told you thats a VG30?" So my question is - Is it a VG30 or a Garrett T25? If GCG (with their experience in turbochargers) are wrong about this one (as one person thinks) and it is in fact a VG30 then I will personally give the turbo back to the seller (he can keep my money as the turbo is useless to me) and he will have a true honest apology! So your saying GCG in sydney don't know there stuff? The RB20/RB26/VG30 is a nissan turbo manufactured by Hitachi. Now that I have been informed.. how can you pass that for something with GARRETT clearly stated on it?

Sure the turbo is a lil dirty but I'll clean it up make it look nice a pretty for the buyer btw it also comes with o2 sensor and dump pipe!!!

I know thats why it's useless to me and pretty much any Rb25 owner, it's like taking a step backwards. The F@cken prick won't give me my money back..

Excellent thanks I might leave it to my tuners to install but in the mean time I'll do a flow test to make sure they are all fine.

I think the comp housing is .45 but im not sure about the turbine sorry. I don't have a membership on the silviaforums
