Thanks I'll take a look at the standard air box see if theres any ideas come to mind.

I recently bought an Apexi pod filter, the holes for screwing in for the filter are larger diameter compared to the AFM where its to be bolted onto. I thought of buying a bracket for this from autobarn or something, but they said something for this would be have to be bought from Apexi and should have been supplied with the filter. Wtf do I do now? Get a bigger AFM to bolt it on or find a bracket somewhere?

Can the HICAS on an R33 be removed by simply removing the fuse for it?

I have an R33, how would i go about reseting the ecu? some peopel said disconnect the battery and depress the brake pedal.. i didnt notice sh#t all out of it!!! And these two plugs people are talking about.. "shorting the two plugs".. i cant find them =

Anyone know much about Bi-tron oils? I was thinking about using it for my gearbox as apparently its some good sh#t :aroused:

I don't know much about the turbo of either car, but I do know that the skyline r33 turbo has a ceramic turbine wheel.. correct?! Anyone think it would be a good power gain by throwing in a standard turbo off a VL instead of the standard skyline turbo? And if so, can greater amounts of boost be ran? and hi-flow? etc.

It will gradually get up to about 8psi if im in 5th at 80k.. but from 1st to 2nd.. and 2nd to 3rd it will boost to 10psi @ around 4500 -5000rpm then drop back to 8psi in the later revs.. does that mean anything?

Yep!! 10pounds but it doesnt hold it.. it'll drop to about 9ish

When starting my car cold its ok.. as it warms up the turbo begins to make a weird humming/hovering sound.. is that something to worry about? Please HELP!!!! Some services factories are quoting me $250 to remove the turbo $900 to recondition (if its ****ed) and another $250 to put it back together... f**k that!

Bugger me if i'm wrong.. i have a r33 and i couldnt find that damn plug!?!?!

Thanks for that, I was stressing.. thinking it could of been something worse since this is the 1st turbo car i've owned. I might get someone to take a look at it, get a professional view.

Could anyone tell me please.. for awhile now I've noticed my turbo makes a weird hovering sound. It doesn't make it on a cold start or a hot start but it's usually that in between... eg. When I start the engine on cold as the engine begins to warm up it starts to make the hovering sorta humming sound from the turbo.. Is this something serious or something to be worried about?

Ok you told us it does something and you've showed us the plug.. but what do you do with it to reset the ecu?

I recently chucked in a Turbo Smart T peice boost controller, I bypassed the standard boost solenoid (obviously) and as far as I know all is fine BUT.... I adjusted boost to run 10psi (0.7bar) nah the thing is it boosts to 0.7bar but then drops down a tad to 0.6bar sometimes 0.5bar. Why doesn't it constantly boost and hold at 0.7bar? I heard off a mate that apparently its the stock bov that is only pressurise to handle 7psi (stock psi) and I would need an after market... HELP!

The box is approx. 80cm length by 40cm height by 50cm width with a curve back. It fits easily into the skyline boot but the amp is quite large and would need an appropriate mounting position. If further interest contact me via email for a more prompt response.
