  1. Hi, I'm looking for a good place to get a fuel pump upgrade done in Sydney. Can anyone recommend anywhere besides Hills Motorosports? They have poor customer service and are jerking me around big time... Thanks,
  2. Also willing to consider trade for other parts. I have an A31 Cefiro with an RB20DET engine. all interesting offers considered
  3. Hi, From what I've read and been told most A/F gauges aren't always accurate to start with but can be adjusted when tuning for more accuracy....
  4. bump still available.
  5. I've heard a lot of people say that you shouldn't increase the length of the piping as you can get lag etc. But then I've heard experts that say this isn't a problem. Don't know who to believe.... Jap after market kits seem to be in one side and out the other but then there are ones that use the loopback idea too.
  6. Is a S-AFC going to let me run a bigger AFM (Z32 type)? Will it also let me tune the most out of my mods? Mods I currently have on or being fitted are: K&N air pod FMIC exhaust High Flow fuel pump Is the S-AFC really necessary with the RB20DET? How tuneable is the standard ECU on these suckers? Would I be better off looking at an aftermarket ECU? Thanks!
  7. You could try Shannon's.....
  8. I was lucky enough to avoid this inspection even though the RTA officer was trying his hardest to make me go get one... The benefits of registering some place that doesn't see any imports and as such doesn't really know the system... I think that RTA inspection is to check the paperwork depicts the car as it actually is. To make sure that what the enginneering and compliancer has said is true and correct.
  9. here are photos if anyone wants a sticky beak. The photos are crappy because my digital camera is not the best. http://www4.tpgi.com.au/wmoore/photos/seat1.jpg http://www4.tpgi.com.au/wmoore/photos/seat2.jpg
  10. Hi, For sale is one pair of Autotecnica Sports seats. Black in colour. Brand new. Can post pictures later if anyone is interested. Open to offers. Will only sell as a pair. PM me or email at [email protected] Thanks,
  11. Thanks for posting. My advice is too make sure you voice this to Brant in Aus. Unless they know then they can't fix it. Customer service is a major problem in the car industry.
  12. Hi guys, I've seen some posts on the Apexi SAFC. What functionality does this allow amodified car? I know it change fuel mixtures is that it? Thanks,
  13. I know in NSW they have a list of certified engineering signatories on the website. To get my RX2 fully engineered after engine change etc was $250. For just an exhaust test and certificate you would be looking at the same if not less....
  14. One thing to note is that the law is up to the discretion of the Police Officer. Whilst I don't agree with this that is how it works. apprently the cops can do you over for noise louder than 5DB over ambient. So if it was night time and nice and quiet then pretty much any car could get done but the cops will only pull over modified cars because they are easy targets. I'd say fight the fine with an official test and a letter because if you are within the law then they shouldn't be allowed to book you.
  15. Some things I have found out and noticed... Dont' go to places with bad customer service. I don't see why you should pay money to feel like crap. Customer Service is part of the total experience and your decision should not just be based on the final product you get. From what I've seen most aftermarket Japanese over the shelf exhaust kits hang low on the standard mounts. If you have modified your car so that it sits lower to the ground or plan on doing this then go to a good exhaust shop and get them to make an exhaust up for you that sits close to the body. If you've seen High Octane 3 then you'll know what I'm talking about... Support Aussie business'. The local exhaust shop is probably going to make an exhaust that is as good or better than the off the shelf jap one if you choose the right place. And price would have to be similar when comparing new with new....
  16. Thanks for the tips guys. One last Q on the rego. What does the $478 consist of? In NSW we have to get a pink slip (it's like a road worthy check), green slip (compulsory injury insurance type of thingy) and then rego itself. Costs are like $25 for the pink slip, $250 - $300 for the green slip (my age anyway...) and then about $200 for the actual rego. Thanks!
  17. Thanks!
  18. There was no damage done to my car on the way over. No theft either. My car came via Kiwi Car Carriers. I've heard stories of theft and cars going into the ocean not sure how you would prove that the rust was caused by the two weeks on the ship.....
  19. Where did you pick up the Pivot light from?
  20. Correct. Any turbo with a T3 flange should bolt straight on. Other things you'd need to consider are the other connections to and from the turbo.
  21. I don't think it's for variable cam timing I think the NA engine has more lift and duration than the turbo one.
  22. I think one of the HPI mags had an article on the Microtech CPU for the R33. From what I remeber it sounded like a good setup. I had a Micrtech setup in my modified RX-2 and it never skipped a beat. I can highly recommend them. And they are Australian....
  23. Thanks for the pointers... I couldn't remeber what your NSW RTA equivalent was... Meggala I'm heading down for some family stuff in the middle of November should be bringing the Cefiro down then...

    VIC rego Q

Can you guys give me a brief outline on how rego works in Vic and the costs? I'm looking at relocating from Sydney to Melbourne and want to get idea.... On a sideline can you guys recommend a good suburb close to the city but easily accessible to Blackburn that would be good to rent in. That is a low theft area Thanks!
