  1. Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this subject for me. I recently fitted a fmic and i also have a 3inch turbo back exhaust and a pod fillter on my r32. I am getting a miss at the moment and it seems like the boost cut may be the problem but im not sure how to tell. im sure there is also a chance that it may be plug leads or the coils but it feels different to last time that it had a miss and it was ignition dramas. I dont have a boost guage fitted at the moment but the factory boost guage isnt going off the dial and seems to be behaving normally. If this is the problem does anyone no where i can get the factory ecu retuned? Im aware that toshi can do this but i would rather go to a workshop how will dyno tune the car to get an accurate result based on the mods on my car and also so that i can return to a workshop if something does go wrong..... Thanks for your help.

Love the focus on the head unit..... How did you get a resonable exposure on the water fall shot. I can only get long exposure shots working without over exposing in really low light conditions. Are you using a fillter?

  5. Hey duncan, I race at the hsrca meets, It was good to see the skylines out at them. I have been spectating at the events for about 4 or 5 years but havent ever seen them before. I gues they havent been eligable till recently?????? If you get the gtr ready for racing again this year i will have to try and come and do some flag marshaling so that i can apply for my full licence next year.
  6. Glad to here your ok paul. S#$t can go bad pretty quick in the wet with crappy tires hey. Had some very unnerving experiences in my dads vs commodore due to crappy tires designed to last and not to grip...... I don't think it can be stressed enough that even if you have a car that handles really good, unless you have good tires its going to handle like crap.... See way to many people going to fast in the wet with crappy tires, it scares me!!!! (not saying you were going to fast though)
  7. I have a c3. I currently race a sunbeam alpine in group s at the historics, Although the owner of the car spends most of the time behind the wheel.....
  8. Thanks for the heads up stan!!!!
  9. Yeah that was me in the white 32. Your car looks NIIIICCCCEEEEE. Something about a clean black car at night just looks evil specially if its a skyline!!!!!! Not being rude i wanted to have fun but i was reall sketchy comig home from work that night cause the cops were hiding near one of the ramps near my work and flicked on the lights right when i went past them, Turns out they were booking a 300zx that was right near me!!!!! Hey i live on the beaches but ive never seen that workshop where is it??????
  10. Just saw DHC giving me the hurry up just after rosville bridge on warringah road. Very nice 34 mate!!!! I wanted to play but i have a track day coming up in a few weeks so i dont want to get done before that!!! Besides saw heaps of cops round tonight!!!!
  11. Wise words from dan and abo bob!!!!!! One extra peice of prep.... Check your wheel nuts and get a full tank of petrol!!!!!
  12. Guys track days are meant to be fun.... You drive within your limits and you wont have a problem, Its when you try and beat that person in front thats been doing it for years or when you try and beat a mates time(who just happen to do this time at another trackday when there was no one else you knew there). At tracks like oran you can pick and choose when to go full pelt (turn 1 short curcuit) or when to hang back a bit( like coming on to the straight where the wall is close). You just have to be sensible and gain confidence gradually and work your way up to going quicker!!!!! Also Driver training = safety not just quicker lap times. So if there is some more experienced people out there who are willing to help you with your driving for free Thats GREAT!!!!!! Like the others have said test your cars limits on the track not on the road where you could do something stupid that effects others not just you! Damn im starting to sound like an old crank!!!!!!! Back in my day...........
  13. Hey abo, For me its a dollars thing, Ive just started racing in the historic series so that takes a fair bit of money. Plus im already booked into a track day in may down at wakefield. Its costing us about $180 and that is for the day, dorian timers for all cars a nights accomodation at the pelican sheep station next door plus pretty much all the pizza and booze you can drink. I would love to do the oran park day but i havee recently just done a private practice and some driver training there so would prefer to go somewhere else. But if money allows ill be in! Thats just my 2cents
  14. What were you driving in group n??????
  15. Hey beer baron, I was competing in the regularity section and in the group s enduro in car 131 which is a sunbeam alpine. It was my first race meeting as i only got my licence in march and i was just driving my girlfriends dads car. Lots of fun. That was the first time i had driven eastern creek to. I went really well for my first time, The car broke in practise so i didnt actually get to do any laps till the racing, but that just adds to the excitment. In the 25 lapper we started last on the grid due to not posting a time in practice but by the time i got out for the driver change i had the car about 20th and we did a pretty quick change and ended up finishing in 18th.
  16. Yeah, Its awsome seeing these old touring cars out on the track again doing what they should be doing rather than collecting dust at someones house where no one else ever see's them!!!! They sound fantastic to, nice turbo whistle when they come on boost.Im just waiting for when my r 32 becomes histroic!!!!
  17. Bad luck mate nothing ruins your day faster than someone trying to make a dollar by stealling from someone else...... Hope karma Gets em good!!!!!!!
  18. for all those interested. This is a post about the hrsca meet at eastern creek on the 25th&26th http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=111154
  19. Hey guys, For all of you guys that are interested i was competing at the H.S.R.C.A. meet at oran park this weekend in other classes but did find a little time to take a few snaps of some of the skylines competing. Good to see 2 skylines beating brocky!!!!! I also have a few more pics and if anyone wants any i can send you the full size ones via email. Just send me a pm.

  21. Thanks blitz will have to check em out. Hey scary32 you in sydney????? going to any of the track days or cruises soon? It would be cool to check a set out on a car before i bought anything. Dont have the dollars yet anyway but always researching the next mod!!!!
  22. Hey guys, Just wondering does anyone have a set of those d2 coilovers from just jap in their car? Anyone got any thoughts on them. obviously for the price they will not be the best coil overs around but im just curious are the spring rates etc ok for street, Without having to install new kidney's i mean......
  23. EBC Green stuff work great on my 32 for street and track day fun. But your brake pads arent worth a pinch of sh%#t if your tyres are screwed......
