  1. Hey guys, Just wondering whether anyone has a 12inch sub, box, and adequate amp to power it? I am just after something cheep. My mate was going to give me his 10' and amp for nothing - but that's fallen through. It was all audioline stuff(cheapish). However, it sounded good, so now i'm just after something cheep to complement my crap 6' speakers. I'd be looking to pay up to $200. So i'm really looking for cast-off stuff. I look forward to hearing from anyone who might be able to help out... Cheers Jeremy
  2. Cheers guys. Where is ICE performance? Excuse my ignorance. Will these places know the ins and outs of HICAS? Jeremy
  3. Hi guys, went to autobarn frankston yesterday. They suggested going to "N1" off the westall extension (in Clayton). I am hoping to take my car there to get the HICAS checked out. Just wondering whether anyone has heard of these people, and whether they are any good... any help much appreciated! Jeremy
  4. Thanks a heap mate. You're a champ! Into autobarn i go... I'll let you know how i go! Jeremy
  5. No one had similar experiences? I think my only option is to change over the dash. What a pain in the arse...
  6. Pls help!!! Doesn't anyone know?
  7. Yeah i'm in too provided there are some simple instructions for simple people! that's my only concern, setting it up...
  8. Possibly interested... Do you just mount in the normal position between the presure point and actuator? I'm a bit of a dumb arse when i comes to the mechanics of the turbo and am concerned i would not know where to install it... So your saying the advantage is that the boost comes on quicker than a normal single stage controller? I read in your first page on this that it acts more like a Electronic Controller. Is this correct? Regards, Jeremy
  9. Hi all, Does anyone know the part no. and name for the HICAS compatible boss kit (hkb part)? I know must ppl suggest disabling it. But i am cheep and think it would be cheaper to enable rather than disable it. I am hoping to go to autobarn to pick on up and it would be heaps easier if i could just tell them the name/number of the part. Last time i went in i had to argue with the staff there as to whether this part even exists. Thanks! Jeremy

  11. Hi guys, In my r33 gtst, 20 mins after starting to drive, the tacho will start to shoot back and forth with not relation to the what the engine is doing? Anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this. Anyone have any ideas or have shared a similar experience? Jeremy
  12. hey, Yeah i'm over in Victoria so might be a bit hard. Not sure how much it would cost to post. Think about how much you want tho and we might be able to work something out... Jeremy
  13. Hi guys, I am just after a r33 gtst airbox. I don't need the snorkle or airflow meter. I have just bought a non-turbo airbox which does not fit due to the stock intercooler piping . Can anyone help me out? Regards, Jeremy
  14. Thanks for the help guys. I think i will just try and enable it. I have been to autobarn and they didn't even know what HICAS was. I might have to try another autobarn. Does has anyone managed to purchase a HICAS compatible boss kit in victoria? It is a "hkb" one from my reading of the forums...
  15. Thanks for the reply... So do i need to get a hicas lock kit? Or can i just leave it as is, remove the bulb and fuse? No one seems to be able to give a me straight answer on this... Thanks again!
  16. Hey mate, I have 19s on mine. They are 245/35/19. They fit fine and are apparently legal size on a 33. I was recommended against 265s since they might be that little bit too wide. The bloke i spoke to about it was not 100%, so they might fit. Good luck! Let us know how they go...
  17. Thanks guys for the replies... My other worry is about HICAS. It's got an aftermarket steering wheel and wrong boss kit. Therefore HICAS light is coming on (locking off the system). Do you have any thoughts about whether this might mess with any of these settings??? Thanks again...
  18. Thanks fellas for the replies... Allan, have you had any camber/toe or uneven tyre wear probs? Also, would it help to remove the fuse? thanks again!
  19. Thanks guys for your responses... Allan, have you had any problems with toe/camber or uneven tyre wear? That is my main concern. Does it help to remove the fuse? If so which one is it? Thanks fellas
  20. Hi guys, This is an extremely simple question, but can't find a simple answer after much searching. Ok, here it is... I have a r33 gtst, non stock wheel without hicas boss kit, so therefore hicas does not work and the light comes on 10 mins after starting car. I don't care if the 4ws doesn't work. IS IT OK TO LEAVE it as is? Or do i need the "lock kit"? Will it's current functioning mess with the wheel alignment/camber/toe? Or can i simply remove the bulb and forget about it altogether. I am told in the r32 you need a lock kit, but no one seems to know if the 33 requires one. Any help would be soooo appreciated.. THanks fella in advance.
  21. Hi all, I have just had whiteline camber kits installed in my 33 gtst and the camber and toe adjusted. The reason i got them installed was because i was suffering serious uneven tyre wear (insides scrubbing out). The new specs are below. Just wondering whether they are ok... I got it installed by pedders. They said they are not far from factory adjustment now - that said, they did not know what the factory specs were... Do the specs below sound alright? I don't want any more uneven tyre wear. Camber left front -0.54 degrees and camber right front -1.06 degrees Rear camber left -0.4 degrees Rear camber irhgt -0.55 degress Front toe left +1.0 mm Front toe right +0.9mm Rear toe left +1.0 mm Rear toe right 1.2 mm Any help would be heaps appreciated. Thanks in advance fellas! Jeremy
  22. Thanks for the reply. No, toe is not the problem. I have ruled that out. Does anyone know what are standard specs for camber and toe on the r33? Thanks again in advance... Regards, Jeremy
  23. Hi guys, I tried to search for the answer to this relatively simple question, but had no luck. I'm just wondering what the standard camber would be on a r33. Mine has been lowered and consequently the insides of the tyres are paying for it since the negative camber has been increased. I am purchasing the whiteline control arm camber adjustment kits and getting them installed through pedders suspension. Pedders had a look today and said that my current camber is 1.7 and 1.8 on the fronts and 2.5 and 2.7 on the back. WHat would they have been standard? I am trying to work out whether i should buy two adjustment kits for the back, as they only give you .75% adjustment. Any thoughts? Any relatively immediate help would be appreciated. Regards, Jeremy
  24. Thanks Guys, I appreciate it heaps! I won't worry any more then. And Yep, i'll be doing that mod to make it boost to 7-8 all the time rather than just 4500revs plus. Jeremy
  25. Hi Guys, I'm worried my stock boost valve is boosting too low on my 33. It is completely stock besides 3 inch cat back and a pod filter. Watching the stock boost gauge, it only seems to boost to the middle +ve mark (i would assume 3.5 psi) up to 4500 revs and then to about half way up towards the 7 on the gauge (5.5psi perhaps?). This is probably a bit unclear and difficult to explain, but it looks like it is only boosting to 5.5 psi max. Do you guys think this is a fault in the gauge, or the stock boost valve? Or is this normal? Any help would be extremely appreciated, i don't know whether to be worried or not... Thanks in advance
