How Can I Get This Spoiler On Ebay Or Similar?
Gnome73 replied to Gnome73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks for the reply. I looked on eBay but so many and I don't know the details of the infiniti equivalent for the 250gt. My car doesn't have reverse cam so I thought rather than spend $300 on reversing proximity system id just buy a spoiler in the hope that it will allow me then to see the top of the boot when reversing. Hard to reverse these cars when you don't have the reverse cam and can't see anythingof the boot lid. -

I'll be watching with interest to see what that coupe on TM goes for. Currently at $28,100 and ends in 5 hours. Hope to get my car next Thursday the 4th. Will then take it to Newmarket Nissan for a check up and to fibrenew for steering wheel and inner door pull plastic respray. http://www.fibrenew.co.nz/markets-we-service/automotive-leather-plastic-fiber-repair/ If anyone in NZ is looking to import a car I'd recommend www.japaneseusedcars.com I cant fault these guys at all so far, service and sales process has been fantastic.

Steering Wheel Wear - Good Indicator Of Age?
Gnome73 replied to epoq's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
heres mine at 34k https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3zpwkecWS1HbVVPcjRPSTdxVGs/edit?usp=sharing As you can see some wear in the same areas. How may k's had that one done? Hopefully more than 34k lol Havent had my k's verified as I forgot to organise this before it left and its non its way from Japan but will do when I get it into port, i'll be surprised if my k's aren't legit as the auction agency i used are apparently one of the biggest for NZ (thousands of cars a year) and their inspectors are pretty good. -
Mine is the non Navi and Non Cameras 250GT v36 so that doesnt match?

Ckv36 Front Seat Quick Release Question
Gnome73 replied to Gnome73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
saw this on NZ's local auction site http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=572564042 ...and realised the back seat in the coup is only a 2 seater which is more of a show stopper for me than the seat not moving forward quickly lol. So all the coupes are 4 seaters? This guy out up the car for $1 reserve lol -

V36 Nav And Language Swap - Faq
Gnome73 replied to Chris Rogers's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks Chris, I read your OP many times and guess i was stuck on the question of what was in english and what wasn't i.e. i've had cars in the past where the system has been localised but some system menus etc remains in japanese. Sorry about that. Here is a pic of my NAV system which is the non NAVI one https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3zpwkecWS1HVkxOVVBxOEdVMWs/edit?usp=sharing So next question given that I am in NZ is there any chance I could work with you to get it converted to English? -
Ckv36 Front Seat Quick Release Question
Gnome73 replied to Gnome73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
lol true, but im guessing you dont have kids... as when trying to get 3 kids into the back seat of the car and 2 in their car seats in the pouring rain every second counts. So to confirm the lever makes the sit back flip forward but the seat cushion part of the seat is still electronic and 5 secs? -
V36 Coupe owners Is there a quick release for the front seats in the V36 370GT coupes? I have kids and from memory there was no quick release on the V35 coupe and I didnt want to have to wait for the electronic motors to move the seat forward (which took ages) to allow the kids to jump in the back. This is currently a deal breaker for me so if it turns out there is a quick release or another quick and easy solution I'll be getting the coupe ;-) win4ever quoted this in the NZ thread but I wanted to double check with other CKV36 owners

Hi Loh, thanks for the reply. My car arrives on the 12th of April then its gotta go through customs/compliance which i've been told takes about a week. As this is my first car that i've imported Im just going to get McCulloughs to do all the paper work and customs clearance so hopefully that should speed things up. Because Im considering upgrading to the 370gt do you mind telling me the year, ks and the yen price you paid? Mine is a 2007 V36 250GT Type S, 34k which set me back 1,300,000 yen / $17k NZD excluding GST and compliance. The Yen/NZD hit 2-3 year high yesterday and is looking to break the 80 yen to $1NZ so we are re-entering the dream days of the late 90's and early 2000's where Jap sports cars were such good value for money. My dream car is the GTR but they are so damn expensive even with the good FX rate. I can afford a 370GT but was going to wait till my kids got a bit older Where are you in AKL, I'd like to come check out your car once you get it, when do you think you will have it? I'm in Mt Albert.

Can I ask which website / japanese auction agent you used? I just purchased a 2007 V36 250GT Type S, 34k on clock from www.japaneseusedcars.com who were recommended to me by the customs / freight forwarders McCulloughs which Im gonna use http://www.mmnz.biz/. I think I got the non NAV version as in the 50 odd pics i was supplied I cant see any cameras on the side mirror or boot. I went for the Type S for the 18inch factory rims, sportier front bumper/scoop and I also read somewhere they come with rear wheel LSD which the standard models dont have. A question on your latest car which im assuming is a V36 coupe, do the front seats have a manual release to fold the seat forward without having to use/wait for the electronics to do it? I have kids and when I was looking at buying a v35 coupe from memory there was no manual release which meant that if it was raining and I had to get the kids in the back seat I would have to stand there waiting for the electronics to move the front seat forward to allow them access to the back. Can you clear this nagging question up for me? If there is a manual seat release I might just onsell my 250GT and get a V36 370GT coupe from Japan.

No one buys V35s in NZ anymore as you can get good low mileage V36's ex Japan for ~ $18k NZD. Im new to the forums and trawling through all the posts only to find the content relates to V35s is a bit disheartening. Just asking for a V36 sub forum if its not too much trouble?

V36 Nav And Language Swap - Faq
Gnome73 replied to Chris Rogers's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Hi there, came across this forum after ordering a V36 250GT Type S from Japan (Im in NZ). From the pics I got of the car, I think I have no side mirror camera or boot camera so therefore no NAVI system? When you say the non NAVI car can be modified to have NAVI and bluetooth etc do you mean you can add this option and it be in english? Some more questions Assuming you can add a NAVI option in English could this actually go so far as to hook up to GPS sattelites in NZ or is this just to covert the language to english. When you say connect IPod to the NAVI system do you mean via bluetooth? and if so could this also support Android conenctivity? Are there any how to guides around for the Non NAVI to English NAVI change?
